the front door opened and closed, loud shuffling and the sound of suitcases rolling against the hardwood floors echoed in the once silent house.
jungkook was confused, not only because he just woke up, but also because he didn't know who the hell was in his house.
until he heard it.
"jungkookie, we're home~!" his mother sung, knocking on his door.
he shot up but was pulled back down by taehyung who didn't want him to leave because he was so comfortable.
"where are you going?" taehyung asked tiredly and jungkook groaned as he stared at his bedroom door. "my parents just got home so you need to hide and i have to clean up my room in ten seconds before my dad busts my door down." jungkook whispered and taehyung nodded, quickly standing up and pulling some clothes on before going over to the bathroom and shutting the door.
jungkook quickly got dressed and fixed his hair while opening his curtains so it wasn't so dark in his room like usual.
he made sure everything was off of the floor before unlocking and opening the door that his parents were banging on.
"oh jungkook! you scared us to death! why didn't you open the door immediately!?" jungkook's mother yelled at him as she pulled him into a bone crushing hug. "sorry i was sleeping." jungkook said, too lazy to come up with anything better than that.
"surely you didn't sleep through our knocks." jungkook's dad said as he walked around his sons room, inspecting it as if he was at the scene of a crime.
he always did this.
"what's this?" his dad picked up a bottle but before he could read it, jungkook snatched it out of his hands. "it's lotion. but it smelled really bad so i threw it on the floor and forgot to pick it up." jungkook said as he tossed his brand new bottle of lube in the trash just so he could convince his parents.
"what's that on your neck?" jungkook's dad asked, leaning in closer but jungkook took a step back, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "turns out i'm extremely allergic to mosquitoes." jungkook said and his mother rolled her eyes.
"they're hickeys." she said and jungkook watched as anger boiled up inside his father, his hands balled up into fists.
"we'll talk about this after you've washed up." he said in his deep voice that sent a terrified shiver down jungkook's spine.
jungkook said nothing as his parents walked out of his room, closing the door behind them. he quickly walked over to the bathroom and almost screamed when he hit taehyung with the door.
"you idiot, were you listening?" jungkook asked and taehyung nodded as he rubbed his head where the door hit him. "yes, of course. what are you going to tell your parents?" taehyung asked and jungkook shrugged as he stripped out of his clothes and stepped into the shower, motioning for taehyung to join him.
"i'm gonna have to tell them the truth." jungkook said as taehyung stepped into the shower with the boy. "and what is the truth?" taehyung raised an eyebrow at the younger who was making his hair into a mohawk with shampoo.
"i kept running into walls." jungkook giggled and taehyung had to hold back a loud laugh, thinking the younger was adorable.
"yeah so when you run into walls you make sure to tilt your head back so that you get perfect hickey-like bruises." taehyung chuckled and jungkook nodded, laughing quietly as he finished washing up.
"exactly." jungkook said as he grabbed a towel, stepping out of the shower and drying off as taehyung quickly washed up.
they dried off and got dressed, brushing their teeth and fixing their hair before coming up with a game plan.
"my house only has one floor so, if you wanna, you can climb out of my window but then you'll have to walk home." jungkook frowned and taehyung shrugged, kissing jungkook's cheek because he looked cute. "i don't live that far so the walk won't be that long. text me when you're free from all this though cause i actually wanna play video games with you." taehyung said and jungkook smiled, nodding his head as he opened his bedroom window.
"farewell taesquito." jungkook said and taehyung laughed, climbing out of the boys window while trying to avoid the bushes directly under it. "see you soon hopefully." taehyung said and kissed jungkook quickly before jumping down from the window.
jungkook smiled, waving at taehyung as he walked away. once taehyung was of sight, jungkook closed his window and walked out of his room.
he headed towards the dining room table where he knew his parents would be waiting for him with coffee mugs in their hands.
"welcome home." jungkook smiled but his parents didn't return the favor. "so what have you been up to while we've been gone?" his father raised an eyebrow at him as he sat down across from them at the table.
"well before i tell you that, i have something i need to tell you." jungkook said and his parents nodded, showing that they were listening to what jungkook had to say.
"i'm gay." jungkook said and his parents eyes went wide.
"you're what?" his mom asked quietly and jungkook smiled, not nervous at all about telling his parents he was gay. "i like boys." jungkook said and they both looked down before looking at each other with a mix of emotions in their eyes.
"are you sure?" his mom asked as his dad sat there silently and jungkook giggled, nodding his head. "yup i'm one hundred percent sure." jungkook said and his mother quickly shook her head, refusing to look at her son even for a moment.
"we didn't raise you this way. you're meant to marry a woman so that you can have kids and keep our name going. there is absolutely no possibility that you are homosexual." his mother said and jungkook sighed, not expecting his parents to be so stubborn.
"you're right about the fact that you didn't raise me this way." jungkook said and stood up, shaking his head to get his wet hair off of his forehead.
"in fact, you didn't raise me at all."
