The Gods Have Come to Judge

Odin's looking for his son,
No surprise.
You better hope he doesn't catch you.
Close your eyes.

Odin's caught his son.
Again, no surprise.
I really hope he doesn't catch me.
Don't close your eyes.

He sent his ravens after you,
Now you're really gonna get some.

They sent their eagles and dogs,
Now their chariot's ablaze.

Sending their scarabs and their lions,
Now you know you're really done.

The moon is new
Even though she's not supposed to be in that phase.

The gods gather around for one day
To judge and see if you can pass the test.

But the gods have all scattered in disarray.
The only thing to bring them all back is to make one distressed.

The gods have come to judge
As they're supposed to do.
You just better hope that
They're not here for you.

"If I'm trying, then you can't judge me.
And if you are,
Shut the fuck up,"
Is perfectly acceptable to say to people.

But if you say that to a god, and make it really blunt,
Well! Zeus is just gonna step front
And treat you like Prometheus.

Is that what you want?
When this little judgement is over?
Do you want them to punish you for what you have done?
Or should they let you just live your life?
That should be punishment enough...
