when I spoke I said something new
something I had not said before
quickly the words came out my mouth
before I noticed it
I was trying it out now
but it didn't work for me
when I heard you trying something new too
I just looked right at you
and you said you were just trying it out
I knew then and there I respected you
I knew then and there I liked you
I knew then and there you'd be different than the other two
no I didn't know why
but I knew I'd be seeing you in my dreams
and you know, I was right
