we slept in the hallway
of the hotel
we talked and we laughed
and all was well
it was the day we learned
that she was no longer a virgin
I wasn't either
not by far
but she had just lost hers
less than a month ago
we asked if she used protection
she did not
this later caused problems
because she got pregnant
but that's okay
because now she has a daughter
it was the day that we learned
that she was gay
she knew I was bi
I had told them that too
but when I learned she was gay
I hoped she'd fallen for me too
