she drank the poison
completely by accident
she thought it was the right one
but it was not
my heart felt like it had been ripped out of my chest
I felt as if I'd been punched in the gut
she wasn't the only one who drank poison
so I had to suffer twice
I watched the love of my life drink poison
I didn't know if she'd survive
I didn't want her to die
I didn't know at the time she was the love of my life
all I knew
was that
in that point in time
I didn't want
to live
without her
