"There you guys are, just in time! Let's record more songs!" Freddie cheered, greeting us.

*phone rings

"Do you guys mind if I..." Freddie pointed at his phone.

John, Brian, and I shook our heads in agreements and he picked up the call.

"Hello?*soft talking* Yes, what!? No...*Soft talking* No! Bye!"

Freddie slammed the phone down onto the desk and stood there with a serous creased expression on his face.

"Freddie?" John asked, making sure to say it as politely as possible to not set him off.

Freddie screamed in rage and stormed out of the room, feet pounding hard against the carpet.

"Wait!" John yelled, blocking Freddie's path.

"Get out of my fucking way!" Freddie pushed past him.

He lifted up the guitar amps and smashed them onto the ground, breaking into a million different pieces. Then he went straight for my drums, ready to destroy them.

"No!'

Too late. Drums rolling on the ground in different direction and cymbals crashing down onto the floor, creating a loud rumble. Freddie had left the room at this point and the rest of us stood there, stunned, it was a rare occurence to see him this upset.

"You two wait right here, I'm going after him," John said running out of the room.

Another moment of silence passed by.

"I...I've never seen him this mad before, what could have possibly triggered him?" I asked.

"I don't know, but whatever set him off made him real upset, that's for sure."

I went over to the guitar amps and picked up the ones that could still be saved.

"Here, let me help you," Brian said picking up more and handing them over to me,

"Thanks, Bri."

Brian's POV

"Thanks, Bri."

Face heated up after he said that, and I knew I was blushing again. I was quick to hide my face, too, turning away from Roger, cupping my face into my hands.

"Are you sure you're okay? That's the second time I've seen you do that."

Shit, he noticed.

"Trust me, I'm fine," I said, gritting the lie between my teeth.

"......."

"I swear!"

"All right, but if you're not feeling well, you can always ask me for help, okay?"

Face became more hot and I blushed harder. I knew I had to answer, so I turned towards him, face still covered.

"Okay, thanks, Rog."

"Sure, anything for you, Bri."

Gosh, how caring he was, I absolutely loved it!

"We got the amps out of the way, now it's time to reassemble my drumset, would you mind helping me?"

He was asking me? He didn't even have to.

"Of course, let's get to it."

I was in charge of handing Roger his drums and he was responsible for setting them up again. We had most of them covered and only one left, the snare. I picked it up and handed it over to him, waiting for him to take it. He got ahold of it and that was when I noticed... our hands were touching. I stood there still, not believing what was happening. His hand, warm and soft against mine, and I slightly rubbed them, getting lost in the moment.

"Oh, um...Bri?"

I snapped out of it, noting how creepy I was being.

"Sorry, here you go." I handed him the snare drum.

"Thanks." He took it and put it with the rest of the set. "That's it, we're all done!"

Steps in the distance were to be heard before Freddie and John came into sight.

"Listen, about earlier, I'm sorry about that. I don't know what came over me, that call was not great news. Did I break anything?"

"Well, there are some amps that got completely shattered, but most of them can be fixed.

"That's good, I'll buy some more though."

"I don't mean to be nosy, but what exactly was that phone call about?" John piped in.

"It was about a show we were supposed to have, I was planning to tell you boys about it, but then you know, that call came along and the show is now cancelled. I got upset, of course, music is important to me, where would we be without it?"

"I don't know," John replied.

"Exactly, and yeah, that's pretty much what happened. Oh, would you look at the time! It's that time of day where we get to go home! Bye, my darlings!" Freddie exclaimed, walking out of the room.

We all exchanged our farewells and I stood outside the door and waited for Roger to come out, so we could go over to his house, but he found me first.

"Boo!"

"......"

"I swear that would've got you, guess I was wrong," Roger whined.

"Don't worry, you'll eventually get me some day," I reassured him.

"I'll be ready for that day if it ever comes!"

I laughed. "You're funny, c'mon now, let's go," I said walking away.

"Thought you would never ask, we've been here for ages!" He trailed behind me.

I wasn't so sure about the whole me going to his house situation. I was already awkward around him when other people were on the picture, but now, only the two of us? This would be another level of cringe that would haunt me everyday day, even years after it passed. I know, I'll take this as my chance to confess to him. I was finally going to do it.

At Roger's House

"Okay, Bri, come on in!" He cheered, gesturing towards the door.

"Thanks." I walked in.

His house was relatively clean, despite Roger himself being more of a messy person. I sat down on one of his sofas next to his bed and waited until he came inside.

"So what do you want to do?" He asked, sitting down on the bed.

I thought about it for a moment and then stood up. My feelings for him were coming out. Layers of nervousness swallowed me and heart beat fast, and a cold sweat trickled down on my forehead.

"Roger, listen...I—"

"Is everything fine? What's happening?"

I looked over at him and could see the confusion in his eyes.

"That's what I'm about to tell you. Remember earlier? I covered my face a lot?

"Yeah, what about it?"

"There's a reason for that. Look, I've been wanting to tell you this for quite some time now and I've only accepted it recently. I..I like you..."

The room went silent and Roger sat there, eyes wide, gaping, completely dumbfounded. After several seconds, emotion flowed back into him and he stood up, a puzzled look on his face.

"I-I don't know, Bri...this whole situation and all, I don't know wha—how to feel about you."

I took that as the hint that he didn't reciprocate the same feelings as me and I was quick to leave.

"You know, it's best if I leave." I walked up to the door opening it.

"No, wait!"

I left his house, closing the door behind me.
