A day after the fighting they had a funeral for Nyx, since there wasn't a body Johnny just placed the would-be Fantastic Five suit into the coffin along with some pictures of her and allowed them to lower it into the ground. The next day was the wedding but instead of trying to go through all the media back in New York Reed and Sue decided to stay in China and have a wedding there where not as many people knew of them. Johnny stood in the crowd and watched the preacher as he read Sue and Reed's vows, everything was going smoothly but the preacher was forced to pause when Reed's phone went off, because of course the universe didn't seem to want Sue to marry him.
"What is it?" Sue asked.
"Venice is sinking into the Adriatic." Reed blushed slightly at the interruption and probably thought Sue was going to tell him off for having his phone.
To his surprise she didn't. "That doesn't sound good."
The preacher started talking again but to Johnny's surprise Sue broke him off mid-sentence. "Could we just skip to the end?"
"Yeah." The preacher gave them a befuddled looked and continued. "The love these two shar-"
"No the very end."
"Do you have the rings?" Ben handed them the rings and stepped back. "I now pronounce you man and wife, and you may kiss the bride."
Reed and Sue quickly kissed each other before Sue pulled back. "We should probably go."
"Right." Reed agreed and quickly walked over to the flying Hemi he built.
"Wait I have to throw the bouquet." Sue turned to face the crowd. "Ready? Heads up Johnny!"
Johnny saw a girl about to catch it and made it burn to ashes. "Sorry. Reflex."
He laughed and flew off with the others close behind while the women just watched in shock as the ashes floated to the ground. The Fantastic Four were staying together, they could save the world, nothing could go wrong... that's what they all thought until Johnny found a scorched golden feather near Venice.
