A (mostly) lighthearted rant book by me. Join me in reveling and reviling every terrible cliche and odd writing cliche known to wattpad.
This book may include rants about:

Seriously. Why do the trashiest stories on this hell site have the most views/likes/comments???

It's so infuriating.
I like reading books with a lot of interaction, especially when there are a lot of comments because it's fun to see what everyone's saying. That's one of the few things I genuinely really like about Wattpad.
But for some godforsaken reason, it's always the worst books that have that kind of activity.
My Jerky Alpha Mate? 11m reads, 68k likes, 412k comments.
Adopted by 5SOS? 7m reads, 21m likes, 200k comments.
kidnaped bi BTS? 582m reads, 580m likes, 46m comments.

I threw up in my mouth writing those titles, btw.
I'm fine with people out, getting their lives, winning, but jeez-us. Why can't that kind of attention go to some other books.

Sometimes, when I'm idly scrolling down the front page of Wattpad, looking for a book to read (Even though I already have 147 books in my library that I haven't gotten to yet and need to prioritize), I wonder why I even stay on this site.
It's the hidden gems that keep me on here. It's those special books with 1600 reads and almost no comments that you find and they're so good that you binge through it.
It honestly is kind of depressing, because sometimes it feels like talent and hard work are ignored, while bad, cliched writing and bad fan service are rewarded.
IDK, like I said, I don't mind those books, really. It's just irritating that the same kind of attention rarely gets awarded to some of the genuinely great books buried in the search algorithms. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
