I swear, if he even think of attacking Emily, then my hand won't be hesitant to grab my knife and swing it at him. My electrifying blue eyes pierced into his red eyes as he continued to examine us. He raised an eyebrow at us, looking mainly at Emily who was still sobbing onto my shoulder. She was terrified of red eyes and Alexander was just making it worse. I seriously didn't think that he would let us in.

Maybe he wanted to fight to get to bite Emily, but I was more than ready to kill him right now. Emily's fragile arms wrspped tighter into me, making that stench of dried blood invade my nostrils. I was quite accustomed to that. I wouldn't mind of having to kill him in the corridors or even infront of Emily because she should witness how to kill a vampire if she wanted to live.

The right tip of Alexander's lip twitched up, forming a little smug smirk as his eyes slowly drifted to their normal green. I watched as the green flecks crept around the edges of his eyes, taking over as he blinked and the red colour had already vanished as if it was never there. He looked at us intensely with his forest green eyes as I didn't understand why they had changed colour.

I mean, was he not thirsty? The stench was blood was so strong that I could smell it. Even the eyes of the vampires who were walking in the corridors were red, so what happened to Alexander? He was the first vampire to not swiftly jump onto a human that was bleeding. Or maybe he was just putting on an act. But for what? There was no such reason for that, right? Ohh god, this vampire confuses me so much...

"Well, do come inside, little human. I believe that that's your friend, right Grace?" Alexander said to Emily an then asked me that question when his eyes drifted to mine. That made Emily let out a sob, squeezing her eyes shut as she hid her face into the crook of my neck. Did he just say to come in? Wait, did he want us to come inside so that he could attack us both?! He would tie Emily down like he did last night with me!

Would he attempt to tortureEmily like he did with me last night? He would also tie me somewhere else, taking me knife away from me as he would begin to terrify Emily, making me watch as he would abuse her and touch her! Alexander cleared his throat, snatching me away from my train of thoughts as he said in a cool voice, "Kitten, I'm not very interested in other's pet, so keep away those thoughts and be grateful that I'm allowing her inside."

I glared at him, thinking about what he had just said to me. First of all, I'll never ever be grateful or even be thankful to a vampire till my death and secondly, it would not be first first time that I would tryst a vampire. I mean, why wouldn't he want to torture us or drink from us? I remember that he did say that he doesn't like to rape humans or touch them and that I was an exception but was that true? He meant that he had never raped a human during his eighty hundred and eighty-nine years of existence?

"So?" Alexander asked, moving his body from the door, letting us view the inside of the room. "Are you going to come inside and aid her or not? Because the smell of her blood is quite strong and any vampire passing by could jump on her at any moment." Alexander said, making me look behind us to see that he was right. I licked my lips, tightening my arms around Emily as I began taking slow steps towards the room.

I swallowed my pride, getting inside the room as Alexander chuckled at me. Emily let out a little whine laced in her sobbing, not wanting to go inside with me as her legs seemed to have stopped. "It's okay, Emily, just trust me. We're going to treat your wounds. I promise that I won't even let him touch you. Let's just go inside." I said in a gentle tone and patted her head.

She seemed to trust me as she looked up at me with only one teal blue eyes that was wet all around. Her legs began to move again but I wouldn't say that she was walking, she was trudging to be exact. She sniffled softly, wetting my sleeve as I supported her body against mine. Alexander looked at me with a slight smug grin as I glared at him and rolled my eyes, focusing myself on my best friend.
