Chapter 2

Me: Aaaa. Derek you scared me.
D (Derek): Good. Where were you?
Me: Well, I just got home, so you know… I was outside.
D: Why?
Me: What, why? Derek I told you yesterday too. Anyway, I am not going to apologize to you about where I’m going and what time I get back. You are my brother, Not my father. I have parents to control me the way you do.
D: I know. I just want you to be careful.
Me: I know. We’ve talked about this a thousand times, but you seem to forget. Other things you remember, but this you seem to magically forget!
D: If you are referring again to your beliefs that vampires exist and other creatures…
Me: Yeah, sorry. I forgot. You don’t believe me.

I started walking towards Olivia’s room.

D: Where are you going now?
Me: To Olivia’s room. Do I need to ask permission for that too?

I left. I love him, but sometimes he gets on my nerves. I got in Olivia’s room and laid on her bed with a big smile on my face.

O (Olivia): What happened? Why are you like that?
Me: I had a fight with Derek again, but I am smiling for another reason.
O: Well, obviously. Go ahead and tell me.
Me: I am in love.
O: With Jimmy?
She said and grimaced.
Me: What? Ew, no.
I said kind of disgusted.
O: Thank God. Spill.

I told her everything that happened.

Me: I know you’re going to say that it was stupid, but if you could see him. I need to tell Jenna. Actually, I’ll stay at her place tonight.
O: First of all, it was not stupid, but you have to stop talking with Isaac like that. People will think that you’re a couple. Also, take me with you to Jenna’s house.
Me: I won’t stop talking with Isaac like that and you can’t come with me. Firstly, you have school tomorrow. Secondly, Melissa won’t let you. And finally, you want to come to see her brother. So, no.
O: Fine. You’re the worst.

After a while dinner was ready.

Me: Melissa what time will you leave for your shift at the hospital?
Mel (Melissa): After dinner. Why?
Me: Because I’m going to Jenna’s tonight. I thought you could drop me off, on your way to the hospital.
??: I will take you both to where you want to go. I have to go to the precinct anyway.
Me: Okay, Noah. Thanks.
N (Noah): No problem.
??: Dad, do you have a soft spot for the girls of the family or is it just in my head?
N: No, Stiles. I don’t.
S (Stiles): Yeah, right.
Mel: At least I have a soft spot for my boys. Right Scott?
Sc (Scott): Yes, mom.
Me: Yes, mom. You’re such a mama’s boy.
I: I wouldn’t let that go.
O: Because you’re mean.
Me: He’s not.
I: I’m not.

We said at the same time.

O: Fine, fine, you’re not. We wouldn’t like for Luna to start murmuring because she won’t stop.

I started to talk but Noah stopped me.

N: Girls, get ready. We need to leave.
O: Me too?
N: No, you’re staying home.
O: Well, you said girls.

I was trying not to laugh the whole time.

N: I meant your mother and your sister.
O: Fine.

She was so disappointed, and I couldn’t keep it in anymore. I busted out laughing and so did everyone else. We got ready and left. They dropped me off at my best friend’s house. When I got in, I saw a beautiful girl with ginger hair.

Me: Jenna, I’m here.
J (Jenna): Luna, let me introduce you to my cousin Lydia.
Ly (Lydia): Nice to meet you.
Me: Nice to meet you too.
We did a handshake.
??: What brings you here? Did your brothers let you go out?
Me: Ha-ha, Jackson. Really funny. You know very well, that I don’t ask my brothers for permission, but my parents. Unlike Jenna, who can’t go out because of you.
Ja (Jackson): Well, what can I do? She’s my only sister. And we don’t have parents so…
Ly: You will have in a while.
Me: What do you mean? You fought with your parents.
J: Our aunt, Lydia’s mom, will come in a few days and that’s why she is staying with us.

A big question mark appeared in my face.

Ly: I’ll explain. I am going to go to college here and that’s why I am staying here, in order to learn the area. My mom will come later, when the house we are going to stay is ready.
Me: Was it so hard to explain it like this Jenna? So, you’re not staying here.
Ja: No, she’s not. But would you have a problem if she did?
Me: Of course. How was I going to get your sister with me?
Ja: You wish. I wouldn’t let you.
Ly: Are they always acting like this?
J: Worse, actually. They have a love-hate relationship.
Ly: How does that work?
J: I don’t know. One minute they are cursing each other and the next they love each other.
Me: Are you going to talk about us for long?
Ja: Yeah, like we did anything to you.

Lydia stared at us confused.

J: See what I meant?
Ly: Yes.
J: Don’t try to reason with them. They have always been like this.

The evening went by like this. I told Jenna about what happened today. At night Stiles came over to tell me something but when he saw Lydia he stopped. He froze. So did she! This reminds me of what happened with me and Aiden today. They were like this for a couple of minutes until I snapped them out of this. Turn off? They’ll live.

Me: Stiles, what do you want?
S: I wanted to talk to you, but now I changed my mind.

He said without taking his eyes off of Lydia.

Me: Hey. Snap out of it Stiles.
S: I am Stiles. What’s your name?
Ly: Lydia.

He continued ignoring me and so I pulled him over to tell me what he wanted.

Me: Stiles, dammit.
S: What do you want?
Me: Weird. I was going to ask you the same thing.
S: Oh, yes, right. Tomorrow, mom has the night shift and dad will be late at the precinct. The boys and I aren’t going to be home, so you have to be with Olivia.
Me: You came all the way here to tell me this? You know, that’s why phones exist. And why aren’t you going to be home again? What is going on? For the last months, every time that’s a full moon you go out alone and you forbid us to leave the house.
S: I was going to the precinct to meet dad, that’s why I came here smartass. I’m not that stupid. Also, we are going out all boys, as brothers, and we don’t want to bump into you. That’s why we want you home.
Me: Yeah, right. You’re going out because you want to find girls.
S: Not me. Isaac either, cause he has a girlfriend.

He said looking at Lydia, wanting to justify himself. After a while he left. We wanted to watch a movie, but we didn’t have chips or anything, so I went out to buy some.

On my way back, I went through some alleys for a shortcut and somebody pressed me to the wall. That somebody was Jimmy.

Me: Are you serious? What are you doing, douche bag?
Ji: You didn’t let me explain so I came.
Me: Listen to what, liar? That while you were with me, you told another girl to come and sleep at your house?
He didn’t get to answer, because Isaac came out of nowhere and they started fighting. I was telling them to stop, but they didn’t listen. Thankfully, after a while they stopped. How did he know I was in trouble?
I: Stay away from my sister or the next time I see you I won’t be so gentle and I don’t care what colour I’ll have.

What did he mean by that? Maybe because his hands are red from Jimmy’s blood. After a few seconds Jimmy left. Even more questions in my head now. How did this happen now? They were fighting.
Me: How did you know I was in trouble?

I: I feel what you feel, remember? Go now.

I left and went to Jenna. At night, before we slept, I told her what had happened. The next day, Jackson begged me to go and stay with Olivia. I left him, only because Lydia would be with them. Plus he was getting on my nerves.

Aiden didn’t call me all day yesterday or today. What happened? Why is he doing that? I am not going to call him.

At night, Jackson and Lydia are going to stay with Olivia. Like she’s a freaking baby. Jenna and I arranged to go out, but our plans changed.
