Chapter 35

N: Olivia, are you okay?

O: Yes. I think so at least.

Then Noshiko came with her Oni and "checked" on Olivia. She was fine.

Me: How come they are with you?

No: I don't know. Just a little while ago they came with me.

Something doesn't add up here. They just went to her? Then they left.

Me: Why was Olivia untied? And why did Noshiko come here so fast?

Mel: We untied Olivia while you were in her mind and we called Noshiko.

Ja: Guys, sorry to spoil the fun, but the pile of gauge is missing and so is my cousin!

Before we could even say anything the doorbell rung; it was Kira supporting her mum on her shoulders.

K: Guys, the Oni hurt my mom and then disappeared.

Allison's POV

There must be a way to kill the Oni. Since last night, when they joined the Nogitsune, I can't think of anything else; just of some way we can defeat them! Dad had dealt with them before. Actually, he managed to hurt one.

Me: Dad, come here a sec!

Lydia's mom knows some stuff, but we tell her about things slowly so she doesn't freak out.

C: What happened?

Me: Do you still have that bullet that hurt the Oni?

C: Of course. Do you want me to bring it for you?

Me: Why are you still here?

He brought the bullet to me and I checked it. Of course there's some lead in it. We built our protection charms with it when we graduate and become hunters. I'll call Luna and inform her.

End of Allison's POV

Allison called me. She told me that she found a way of beating the Oni. I told her to be at the vetenary in an hour, with the rest of us. Noshiko started waking up. Kira explained to her what had happened and we told her about Lydia.

No: I know where they are. They are at the military camp we were held hostage.

Me: And Allison found a way of defeating the Onis.

We all gathered at the vetenary. Allison's dad was there too.

C: Natalie doesn't know that the Nogitsune abducted Lydia, so don't tell her anything.

Ja: Of course we won't.

Al: So, we brought some weapons made of lead to fight them. I have my bow and a dagger.

C: We brought lead in liquid form so you can dip your nails in and when you hit them you make them weaker and we can finish them.

O: I am going to help too.

D: There is absolutely no way.

O: But all of you are going to help.

I: Yes, but you have been in danger long enough.

Sc: Jackson, please look after her.

St: I will handle Olivia.

Al: Kira, since you can handle the sword perfectly, we found one made from this material for you.

D: Scott, go with Stiles.

M: I will go with them too.

D: Jenna, Brett, you will go with Allison and Chris in case anything happens. The rest of us will distract them. Ethan, Argy, Aiden and I can kill them. Kira you can too.

De: Guys, don't forget that you can't kill the fox, but you can change its form.

Me: Meaning?

De: When you find the chance change it and the rest will come automatically.

We started getting ready for the battle and when it was getting late we were ready. We arrived outside the military camp. Allison and Chris were hiding with Brett and Jenna. The rest of us went to distract the Oni, so that Stiles, Scott and Malia went in to save Lydia.

The Oni appeared very quickly and of course they pulled their swords from their chests. They were aggressive. An arrow hit one of them and the Oni turned into smoke. Allison was right. Unfortunately, they are stronger now. We started fighting with them.

Lydia's POV

NO: Your friends are here to save you. It's a shame they will die trying.

Me: Surely they found a way to beat you.

NO: Yes, right. Guess what. I cannot be defeated.

Me: No one is unbeatable. Not even you.

NO: What did you say?

It said and started walking towards me angrily. I was stepping back until I reached some barriers. It came at me, I yelled and it fell on the ground holding its ears.

I kicked it in the head. I run to a hallway and there were barriers at its end too. I tried to get through, but I couldn't. Then I felt it pulling my hair.

Stiles' POV

I heard Lydia screaming. I am sure of that.

Me: Lydia.

Sc: We heard her. Let's go.

M: It's hard not to hear her.

We ended up in front of some barriers and there was a hallway behind them. I saw the Nogitsune dragging Lydia from the hair. I was about to yell, when my brother put his hand over my mouth and when they were out of sight he took it.

Me: Are you crazy? What are you doing?

Sc: I am not. It doesn't know we're here, so we can ambush it.

End of Stiles' POV

Lydia's POV

It brought me back to where we were.

NO: There's better view here. Don't you dare do anything like this again or you'll regret it.

Me: What's the view from here?

NO: You will get it when your friends start dying one by one.

Me: Why are you doing all of this?

NO: Because I can and I like it.

While we were talking I saw Stiles. He signaled me to be quiet and so I did. He hit it in the head. He grabbed my hand and we went outside. We saw the others fighting. The Nogitsune came again in its true form, covered in gauge. Everyone stopped fighting.

Nog (Nogitsune): My Oni may be less in number but they are stronger. You will regret this!

End of Lydia's POV

Me: No, you are going to regret it. You messed with my family and there are consequences. NOW!

I yelled at Aiden and Ethan who were slowly coming behind it and they charged and bit it. It fell down screaming. In the end it turned into black dust.

M: That was it?

K: I guess so.

B: Finally.

Me: What happens now?

A: We enjoy the peace and quiet.

And that's what happened.
