Chapter 31

In the morning, during class I couldn't keep my eyes open because I didn't sleep at all last night, but it is okay. In class, I was sitting next to Jenna and as she pulled her hair back I noticed something written behind her ear. It was a symbol that looked like number 5.

Me: Jenna, when did you get a tattoo and didn't tell me about it?

J: But I didn't get one.

Me: Behind your ear you have a symbol that looks like the number 5.

J: Are you kidding?!

Me: No. I'll take a photo of it for you to see.

Pro: Do you want to get out of the class and take all the photos you want?

Everybody laughed.

Me: We didn't do anything.

Pro: I am telling you what to read for your exams here.

Me: Fine.

When we finished class, we went outside.

I: What happened? What were you talking about?

J: For this.

She said and showed the symbol.

I: What is this now?

Me: I don't know. Argy do you know anything about it?

Ar: Sorry, I don't. And I don't think my cousins will either.

Suddenly Kira appeared.

K: Hey guys. What are you doing?

Ar: We're looking to see what something means.

K: Do you need help?

Me: Why not?

We showed her the symbol.

K: This is Japanese. It means shelf.

J: Which means?

K: That you are yourself and not someone else.

I: This isn't really helpful but it's okay. Let's change the subject now. What are we going to do for our birthday Luna?

Me: I don't know... Listen to Tommy.

I: I'm listening, let's go.

Me: Why?

He didn't say anything; he just grabbed my hand and we headed to Tommy.

I: Hello, Tommy. Sorry for the intrusion, but we heard, by accident, what you told that you want to throw a party but you don't have the money.

To (Tommy): Yes, it's going to be a Neon Party, but unfortunately I don't have enough money.

I: Since we want to throw a party for our birthday, we can divide the cost in three; if you want.

To: Really? Great. Let me tell you some details. The party will start at 10:00, we have to be there half an hour earlier. It will happen in the warehouse near the college and we will have a DJ. Also, all the college students will be there. It will be on Friday.

Me: Great, tell us how much you need and we will bring the money tomorrow. Isaac, let's go.

He told us how much he needed and we left. When we returned to our friends, everyone was there. We told them about the party.

Me: Kira of course you're invited too.

Al: Guys, as much as we would love to come, Lydia and I can't. We will be away because our parents are getting married. The wedding will be out of town and we are the only ones attending and the best man.
