[16] She Likes Me? | Part 3

Y/N: POV

While I was deep in thought, the Ferris wheel suddenly shook and stood still. There was a speaker in each room and an announcer told us what happened.

"Customers, I'm sorry for the delay of your enjoyment, but the Ferris Wheel has been shut down due to maintenance. Please enjoy the beautiful scenery until further notice!"

I quickly peaked outside the window, and saw the mist beautiful landscape.

"Wow! The scenery is beautiful up here! We are so lucky that we were the people on the top!"

I giggled like a little girl while admiring the view while Kazuki joined in to see.

"Its a shame that both Asami and Shouya didn't get a chance to see this"

He softly said while he went and see the other people on the bottom.

The mention of Shouya's name triggered the fact why we went here in the first place. Although I didn't want to answer, I forced myself to reply back with disappointed.

"Y-yeah"

I heard a quick gasp suddenly went loose as I automatically looked back at him.

Kazuki: POV

"What's wrong?"

I smiled as Y/N looked at me with confusion.

"Looks like they did make it after all"

She was more puzzled until she moved towards where I was 'sight-seeing.'"

I should've felt a pain in my chest, but somehow, I didn't. It led me to wonder...

'Do I really like Asami?....Or did I move on?'

'If I didn't have feelings for Asami, then who did fell for?'

Both Asami and Shouya were closing in, they almost looked like they were flirting with one another! What surprised me the most was Shouya...enjoying that weird situation!

'Surely Y/N had to be pissed off by that'

I tilted my head to her and she just focused on the two. Has she never seen this kind of stuff? She was looking intensely at the scene, and had a furious expression.

I noticed that the two were closing in, then it happened. Asami and Shouya kissed. But did Y/N get bothered by that? Who knows.

She just laughed it off and returned to one of the benches.

"Aren't you bothered by this?"

I asked as I sat next to her. She just acted oblivious and turned the tables back.

"Aren't YOU?"

That made me regret what I had just said.

"Asami is your girlfriend after all. How aren't you concerned about her?"

"I am!—I'm just not...that angry"

A long pause filled the air. I broke it by asking her the same question,

"How about you and Shouya? Aren't you slightly worried? You two just started dating and he already broke that commitment"

Y/N blinked twice and gave a shuddered laugh as she explained everything.

"Actually...today was just a trial date. I wanted to find out if I could really fall in love with Shouya. But now that I saw his true intention, I guess he wasn't really into me"

She put both her arms behind her head and treated it like a joke. Come to think of it, she didn't face me once after she saw the other two.

"But why?"

I asked and mischievously smiled.

"Was it from someone you previously liked?"

'Yeah , right! There's no way'

She covered her face with her arms, covering her flustered face.

"I-It's—It's nothing like that!"

That moment when she showed that side of her to me, it was as if time froze.

Was this really the Y/N who was shy and quiet back then?

Whatever it was, she sure caught me off guard. All I could think about was how cute she was. It replayed in my mind over and over like a never ending video.

"Attention, valued customers. We had just fixed the maintenance. Please wait until you you are down and we hoped you enjoyed the ride!"

Time passed quickly, it didn't even feel like 30 minutes at all. I thought in my mind and looked at the speaker.

"Umm...Kazuki, can you get off me?"

Y/N quietly murmured, but I decided to tease her a bit.

"Not until you tell me who you wanted to get over~"

Her face turned into a darker shade of red, entirely covering her entire face. That got me distracted, but not enough for me to start tickling her sides for answers.

"Come on~ say it!"

She giggled and cried half way. She knew she about to give up eventually. She stared deep into my eyes and I did the same.

"It's you."

I paused for a moment trying recollect what she had just said. It didn't even felt that long until an employee told us to get off. Of course, Y/N was the first to get up and leave. I saw her running as fast as lightning with tears running down her face. I tried to run after her, but hollering and chasing didn't do much. One thing was clear though...

'Y/N likes me'
