"Maaan..if a cute girl like you asked me to, I might even buy them a car." Polnareff said to the lady sitting beside him. He had accompanied Joseph to purchase a new car. But...he got distracted.
"My, what a talker." The woman sitting next to him replied with a small chuckle.
"Would you like to get dinner sometime?" He asked, holding her hands in his and smiling, when Joseph came up behind him and hit his head with an envelope, messing up his hair.
"Polnareff, I'm so sorry to interrupt you when you're so terribly busy, but-"
"Mr. Joestar! Don't mess with the hair! It's hard to get this hairdo right." Polnareff put his hair back in order as Joseph sighed.
"We're leaving. Who cares about your hair? We need you to drive." Joseph walked away, and Polnareff looked at the woman he had been talking to, waving goodbye. She waved back with a small smile.
"But, Mr. Joestar, why are we riding in such a fancy car in this sandy place?" Polnareff asked him when he caught up. "Shouldn't we use an offroad vehicle?"
Joseph chuckled softly as he exited the car dealership. "You'll see soon enough."

Scarlet sat in between Jotaro and Kakyoin with her eyes closed, enjoying the air conditioning of the car. It had gotten really cold in the car, but Scarlet refused to tell Polnareff to turn the AC down one bit. She would rather take this cold over the burning temperatures of the desert.
"Man, I can't believe this country. Every house we pass by is like a mansion!" Polnareff pointed out as he drove through the streets of the United Arab Emirates. They had crossed the sea at Karachi to reach the country and avoid Iran and Iraq.
"Indeed. All the houses around here would cost like 3 or 4 billion yen back in Japan." Joseph agreed, looking at the map. "Apparently, this is the norm for people here. Just twenty years ago, this place was all desert, but ever since they got profits from oil, the place grew into a dreamlike city."
Scarlet opened her eyes and sat up, looking past Jotaro and out the window. Polnareff was right. Each house they passed was massive, decorated with trees and gardens. She wanted one like that when she got older.
But if she had to live in this heat to get it...
As Polnareff started talking about how great the AC in the car was (making Scarlet shiver slightly), Kakyoin frowned and looked out the window slightly.
"What's wrong, Kakyoin?" Jotaro asked, and Scarlet turned towards him.
"Hm? Oh, it's nothing. If anyone were after us, we would surely spot them, but I just can't shake the feeling we're being watched, so I can't help looking back." He answered, turning to Jotaro and Scarlet. She thought for a second. Maybe her shivering wasn't completely the AC's fault.
"Yeah, I can't blame you." Polnareff muttered as he continued driving.
"Well, with that in mind, I've been thinking about our route from here. About 100 kilometers northwest is a village called Yarpline. Because of the desert and mountains, the road is heavily curved. It takes two days to reach by car, so the villagers use a Cessna to travel." Joseph tapped the map. "I think we should go to the village first, buy a Cessna, and cross the vast Saudi Arabian desert. Up to now, I've been worried that attacks from Stand users would cause any airplane we rode in to crash, putting innocent lives at risk. But if we have a Cessna, I can pilot it, and it'll shorten our travel time."
Jotaro fidgeted in his seat, and Scarlet smirked to herself, knowing what he was going to complain about. "I don't really want to board a Cessna with a man who's been through three plane crashes." Joseph shot him a look, and Scarlet chuckled.
