"J-Jotaro!" Avdol stuttered out, and Scarlet looked at him in surprise.

"How interesting! Poker is one of the games I'm best at!" D'Arby announced.

"Poker? Jotaro, he just beat Mr. Joestar!" Avdol protested.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Jotaro.." Scarlet muttered. She didn't try to stop him.

"Before we start, I'd like to try something. Shuffle those cards." Jotaro said, sitting down across from D'Arby and pointing to a stack of cards on the table. D'Arby picked them up and shuffled them.

"They're shuffled. What now?"

"It doesn't matter which one, but pick a card from anywhere near the deck's top and flip it. Only show yourself the card." Jotaro commanded. D'Arby did so, then looked at Jotaro, telling him to continue.

"I'll tell you which one you picked: a six of hearts. I'll name the cards in order from the top. Five of spades, queen of diamonds, Jack of spades, ace of hearts, seven of diamonds, six of clubs, king of clubs, two of diamonds."

Scarlet looked at Jotaro in awe, then back at D'Arby. He laid out the top cards. They matched Jotaro's description.

"That's correct!" D'Arby announced.

"But..D'Arby is the one who shuffled! How..." Avdol started, his voice trailing off.

"My Star Platinum was able to see the order of the cards as they were being shuffled." Jotaro explained. D'Arby looked at him.

"That's very interesting. But that just means I have to make sure you don't see me shuffle the cards."

"Don't you get it?" Jotaro asked.

"This means that you're not going to be able to cheat." Scarlet said.

"I just wanted you to know that." Jotaro finished, and D'Arby nodded slightly, a drop of sweat running down the side of his face.

"Good."

He took out an unopened box of cards, the security seal still intact. Breaking the seal, he took out the cards and spread them along the table, and Jotaro examined them while D'Arby flipped through the pages of a book beside him. Scarlet watched him, wondering what he was doing. She knew it couldn't have been good.

"I don't see anything unusual. They're ordinary playing cards." Jotaro muttered. He gathered them and placed them in the middle of the table.

"Okay! Open the game." D'Arby announced. Scarlet took a deep breath.

Jotaro had to win.

D'Arby took a card from the deck, showing it to Jotaro. "Ten of hearts."

Jotaro took one. "Seven of clubs."

D'Arby smiled. "Looks like I'm the dealer." He grabbed the cards and shuffled them, clearly trying to angle them in such a way that Star Platinum wouldn't be able to see.

When he was finished, he placed the cards in a neat stack at the center of the table.

"Cut, if you will."

Jotaro said nothing, but did as D'Arby asked, taking about half of the cards at the top, setting them to the side, and then putting the remaining cards back on top. D'Arby watched carefully, and Scarlet watched him.

"I'll deal now." He said, grabbing the cards from the center. He gave a card to Jotaro, then gave himself one, repeating the process twice...

Until Jotaro's Star Platinum came out, grabbing D'Arby's finger and pulling it back. D'Arby cried out in pain.
