Scarlet wanted nothing more than she wanted a break.

Well, she did want one thing more than a break. But she was trying to not think about him.

"I've been repairing roofs in Cairo for years, but I've never seen this building before." An old man they had asked about the picture told them. "But judging by it's looks...it's gotta be over 100 years old. You should find it eventually if you look south of here. The further south you go, the older the buildings are." The man pointed, and Scarlet followed his finger and sighed, continuing to pet Iggy, who was content being held in her arms and carried.

"Sorry I couldn't be much help." He told Polnareff as he handed him the picture.

"No, thanks a lot. Sorry to bother you." He replied, joining back with the group.

"I'm going to call and check in on Holly." Joseph said, and the group nodded, following him to a nearby payphone. They gave him his privacy as he called, standing near another building in silence, Scarlet placing Iggy on the ground.

"My daughter's condition has worsened. She has no strength left, and at most..three or four days." Joseph told them. Polnareff looked down, and Scarlet glanced at Jotaro. His eyes were covered by his hat, but he had a frown on his face. She wondered if he would shed a tear.

"I can feel it. DIO is near here. I can feel him hiding somewhere around here. He's definitely close." Joseph said softly, looking into the distance.

"Let's go. If we keep asking around, we'll find him." Avdol said, and Joseph nodded.

They went off heading south and asking more people about the picture.

--

"Sorry, I've never seen that building before."

"It looks old, have you tried south?"

"Never seen it."

"Either order something or leave!"

"Damn tourists..."

Those were among the many answers that they had gotten after asking more and more people.

Scarlet was starting to lose hope.

They barely had any time left, and all they knew was that they should look south, but there were still thousands, if not millions, of buildings down there.

Scarlet, Jotaro, Joseph, and Avdol walked down the street, looking for more people to ask. Polnareff had gotten a funny feeling and gone to try to catch someone who he thought was following them. He had been gone for a few minutes.

The four of them stood near a building, looking back at the direction Polnareff went and waiting for him to return.

"Hey, Polnareff! Did you find whoever's been tailing us?" Scarlet asked, starting to get impatient. They received no answer.

"Let's go check on him." Joseph said, and the other three nodded, starting to walk towards the spot they last saw the Frenchman.

"Polnareff? What's the matter?" Avdol asked.

"Did you find him or not?" Scarlet asked afterward.

They turned the corner of a building after a few seconds, and there was Polnareff, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, grinning suspiciously.

"There you are! Why didn't you answer?" Scarlet asked, crossing her arms as she gave him a look.

"Was someone following us after all?" Avdol added.

"E-er...Nope! It was just my imagination!" Polnareff said, and Scarlet raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doing in that corner? We gotta go, we have no time to waste." She said, taking a slight step towards him.
