"You made a nice bridge, Jotaro." Dan had stopped walking to look at the two of them. He hadn't asked Scarlet to walk with him again, and for that she was thankful. Jotaro said nothing, and Dan decided not to push him on. He glanced at Scarlet then kept walking, and the two followed him. Scarlet was counting down the seconds until she'd be able to attack him without hurting Joseph. Because by then he would be saved. Yeah. He would be fine...
Dan stopped walking, and Jotaro and Scarlet did as well.
"Hey, Jotaro. My back itches. Scratch it." He demanded, and Jotaro sighed in annoyance, walking over and scratching the middle of his back where Dan had pointed to. "Lower. Lower...Ah, you're not doing it right." He turned and shoved Jotaro aside, looking at Scarlet. Her cheek was really red. He smirked.
"Scarlet, why don't you give it a try? I think I just need a womanly touch."
"Yeah, probably because you haven't felt a woman's touch in a while..." she muttered under her breath as she walked towards him and scratched in the same spot Jotaro did, wanting so badly to dig her nail into his back, but knowing that would hurt Joseph, she didn't.
"Ah, that's so much better. Move a bit lower, will you?" He asked, turning his head to look at her. She complied, moving a few centimeters lower. "Yes, that's perfect."
She kept doing it, feeling her anger rising with every passing second. How the hell was he not satisfied yet?!
After thirty seconds, he finally pulled away from her, and she stepped back, wiping her hand on her shorts. Dan kept walking, and after exchanging a quick glance, the two students followed after him.
They walked in silence, and the whole time Scarlet thought about killing him. She never thought that the idea of killing someone, aside from DIO, would bring her so much happiness. She closed her eyes for a quick second and continued walking, hating her circumstances. Hating Dan, hating Kakyoin and Polnareff and Joseph for leaving her with Jotaro to deal with the prick, hating Enyaba for not telling them what DIO's Stand power was, and most of all hating DIO for dragging her into this, for killing her sisters, for destroying her family, for making her fall under his control and sending her to attack 5 men that she hadn't stood a chance against. She was defeated quickly, and as thankful as she was for that, she was also slightly embarrassed.
She felt like she was the weakest in the group, the most useless.
Her cheek and her eyes stung.
Dan stopped walking and sat down on a bench, looking at the two of them, then at his shoes. "My shoes are looking a bit dirty, don't you think?" He asked, but neither Scarlet nor Jotaro looked down at his shoes. Jotaro was looking off into the distance, and Scarlet was glaring at Dan. He smiled at her. "You should take a picture. It will last longer."
"It wouldn't last long at all. I would burn it." Scarlet replied, unable to hold her tongue. Dan laughed.
"So quick to give a remark. Let's see if you're the same way when I kill the rest of your group and take you back to Lord DIO. You would make a nice meal." He said, and Scarlet's eyes widened slightly. He smirked at her response, turning to Jotaro.
"Shine my shoes." He demanded, grabbing a rag from over the bench and tossing it at him. He caught it but stood still.
"Shine them! Or maybe I'll have Scarlet use her tongue for something other than remarks and lick them." Dan shouted. Scarlet tensed up and looked at Jotaro. If she had to lick his shoes or any other part of him, she wasn't going to be able to hold back anymore.
Luckily for her, Jotaro listened to Dan's wishes, crouching down and using the rag to shine his shoes as he laughed. "Come, sit with me, Scarlet." He said in between his laughter, and Scarlet sat at the edge of the bench, as far as she possibly could be away from him.
