Scarlet and Polnareff stood by the window, shoving each other aside to get a better look out of it. Eventually, Scarlet gave up, giving him one last shove as she turned and walked away from him, looking at Avdol, who was steering the yellow submarine.
"Say, you can really drive this thing, Avdol?" She asked.
"Tsk, tsk. Of course." He replied as Scarlet stared at all the complicated looking buttons and meters.
"I can drive it, too!" Joseph announced proudly as he pointed to himself.
"You are not driving this thing, old man." Jotaro said. "I'm not letting you crash us again."
"Hmph! My grandson is so harsh." Joseph complained. Scarlet chuckled.
"He is kind of right, though." She agreed, and Joseph turned to her with a pained expression.
"You too, Scarlet?"
She giggled and covered her mouth with her hands then shrugged.
"Still, a submarine. This is my first time being in one. It's not as cramped as I expected it would be." Kakyoin said. Scarlet nodded.
"Yeah. Rich people use this to explore the sea floor for pleasure." Joseph explained. "That's what the windows that Polnareff and Scarlet were fighting over are for."
Polnareff looked at Scarlet, and she looked back at him. They both stuck their tongues out at each other and turned away, Polnareff looking back out the window as Scarlet looked back at the controls from over Avdol's shoulder.
"It's so cool down here. I wish I could have ridden this submarine with a cute girl..." Polnareff muttered. Scarlet facepalmed.
"You haven't changed a bit, Polnareff." Avdol chuckled.
"Yeah, he's still the same idiot he's always been." Scarlet muttered under her breath as she looked back all over the controls. Her eyes caught onto the sonar radio.
"Whoa, a sonar. I've never seen one of those before." She said in awe, walking over to it.
"What's it do?" Polnareff asked.
"Deflects sound waves off of objects to detect things underwater. Like a bat's echolocation." Scarlet answered excitedly.
"Nerd." Polnareff muttered. She glared at him.
"We're all clear." Avdol said, looking at the sonar.
"With this, we can detect any enemy that comes near us." Joseph announced.
"But if we were attacked in here, we would have nowhere to run." Jotaro interrupted. "We are 60 meters below sea level, after all."
Scarlet looked at Jotaro, then at Joseph. He was right. She looked back to the sonar. Hopefully nothing would attack them.
But she knew that was not probable.
--
"Well, this is to be expected of a pleasure cruiser for rich people! A fridge, coffee maker, and a telephone!"
"Whoa! Get me a drink, Scarlet! I'm parched." Polnareff said loudly. She gave him a look.
"Get it yourself."
"I'll get us all some cola." Kakyoin sighed.
"Hey, everyone. Be quiet for a moment. I'm going to make a phone call." Joseph commanded.
"A phone call? To where? And from all the way down here?" Scarlet asked, looking at him quizzically.
"It's an important and delicate manner. Everyone, please be quiet."
