Bethany's POV...

We were finally back at the cabin, zooming through the tree line and entering the small backyard that was protected by the enormous security gate that I had asked to be placed.

I was in a state of absolute anxiety during Jack's coma and bought a full security system for our cabin after Brody's appearance with my father's credit card. I wanted to have access to my bank account that my parents had, sadly, made for me and get a credit card to access it instead of my father's bank account.

Mom and Dad told me about everything relating my finances in my one week of training my powers and had informed me of the bank account and wanted me to go to the bank to gain access to it.

Apparently, they wanted to secure my future by making my account and giving me a portion of the crown's earning, I wanted to refuse but thought about it and found that it would be ungrateful for me to decline when they had pleaded with me to take it and told me that it will give them a peace of mind if they knew I had money to put food on my table in case of a rebellion and I had to runaway so I reluctantly agreed to take it and was planning to go and gain my access to the bank account when we go back home.

The weather today was very humid and hot, the sudden change in temperature very drastic and surprising because all the other days it had been slightly chilly. It had me on edge, the surprising and unexpected change seemed unnatural.

Humans have started working on getting the weather back on track, all the plastic supplies that existed before were always recycled and it was forbidden to make anything plastic anymore. The air conditioning, refrigerators, and freezers stopped using Freon and it was now an illegal substance, the planes too, had stopped using any other weather conflicting chemicals and now only work on natural gas and a new chemical that was made called Selmium, almost all electricity related items were powered with solar panels.

Cartons stopped being manufactured and replaced with wooden ones, the cutting of trees still continued but they were working on replacing the ones that were cut as little decorations almost in every street and every building.

It was the next rise in civilization and the mass extinction of all the species on earth has now been stopped, the once very concerning rise in climate and change in environmental conditions have stopped a few years ago when I was still a little kid, the past actions and destruction now in the history books and non-existant today.

I heard it was an absolute nightmare from what my parents have said, they were alive during the use of plastic and other similar substances that destroyed the earth and have told me stories of what it used to be like, the global warming phenomenon is now just another tragic event that is in hirtory books but it had gotten so bad that buildings started melting from how high the temperature was and citizens had to start evacuating countries.

It sounded so scary from what my mom told me, it was a horrible time.

But now our world was so much better, Earth was safe from the mutilation in the nick of time, and it was such a relief to know that nothing close to that was gonna happen anytime soon with all the precautions being taken by the government and civilians.

So the sudden change in temperature had me overly stressed because the weather was never this humid, not even in the summer.

We open the gates and step through with a small exhale of exhaustion, my body felt sore all over but it was the kind of sore that you get from a heavy workout, it wasn't too painful because of the happiness that I was radiating.
