Ch 8. Meeting Watari

The next morning at 7 am. I was practically pacing with anxiety at the meeting that would take place at noon.' What happens if Watari doesn't like me? What if L decides I'm too dangerous? What if they find out I'm not human and dissect me?!' I thought mentally freaking out. I sighed. I walked over to my computer and turned it on. I had research to do on whether The Doctor was real in this universe. I knew he didn't really visit outside of the UK so it wasn't as if I could ask for help but perhaps I could ask Jack for help. After all, he would be a perfect asset since he couldn't die. I quickly hacked the varies English governments looking for anything Torchwood. Finally, I found it, Torchwood existed here. I smiled. I sent a short anonymous message to Torchwood asking for Captain Jack Harkness.

An hour later and I was searching and trying and pin down The Doctor's time-line I received a call. I looked over to my phone. It was Torchwood.' That was quick. A little too quick.' I thought my eyes narrowing. I picked the phone up and turned on the voice modifier.

"Hello?" I asked into the phone. I heard people speaking in the background.

"Hi. Are you the one who sent that message?" The voice of Jack spoke through the phone. I smirked.

"Yes, it was me." I responded carefully. A few minutes passed before Jack spoke again.

"Where are you, and why do you need my help. Also, who are you?" Jack asked suspicion seeping into his voice. I nearly laughed and decided to play with him a bit.

"I'm in Japan, and I need your help with a......Supernatural problem. Also, you can call me Tenshi." I responded In a Doctor-like way. I chuckled as I heard Jack chock on the phone.

"T-Tenshi?! As in that random person bringing people back from the dead?!" Jack asked his voice rising as he talked.

"Yes, as in the random person who brings people back to life." I said rolling my eyes." Also, I need help with the Kira case. I'm working with L on it. So I could use your help.....or The Doctor's."

"Well I won't promise the Doctor but I'll see if I can get over to Japan within the week. It seems that you could use all the help you can over there." Jack stated in a weirdly flirty yet still professional way. I grinned.' My dream team is coming together!' I thought mentally cheered.

"Ok. I will send the address." I said before hanging up. I quickly sent the address to Torchwood before I checked the clock. There was an hour before my meeting with Watari. I decided to get ready and wait there for him.

TIME SKIP

I was sitting in a chair at the meeting spot, occasionally looking up to see if I could spot Watari. I was wearing gender-neutral clothes and a fox mask with a voice changer on the inside. I was halfway through my book when I heard a soft cough from behind me. I turned and saw an older man in a trenchcoat and hat. The coat and hat prevented me from seeing the mans face.

"Hello, Watari." I said smiling under the mask at the man. The man inclined his head politely.

"I assume you are Tenshi?" Watari asked softly. I nodded as I put my book away.

"Yes, you assume correctly." I responded with a chuckle. I took out a folder and handed it to Watari. The man took it and flipped through it and visibly flinched at the information in the folder.

"This is impressive work. How did you find out L's real name?" Watari asked with worry, fear, and apprehension lacing his voice.

"Well, I thought if I could crack the worlds second-most challenging mystery it would prove to L that I am good enough to help with the case." I answered calmly. Watari looked at me with what I assumed was a calculating gaze.
