[..I already told you how they wiped out the entire species of the giant reptiles,do you remember?]
After conquering Earth, Ravan became the only King to this entire Globe. Now the possibility in that case was, he will be forming his capital in the mid-zone of this Globe; although, the opposite thing happened in the real case. Not in the mid-terrain of this Globe; he founded his capital almost at the tail of it, in the exact same place where the land mass ends and the reign of water is initiated. A little away offshore, there is an island known as 'Lanka' now. Today it is just a small island surrounded by water in all the four sides. In those days, this island of Lanka was connected to the mainland. Ravan founded his capital there. Why? There are many reasons behind this why.
The first point is Surveillance to any part of his emperor. He can keep an eye on the activities on any part of his Kingdom. Any problem to any part and the quickest remedy is sent to the nearest headquarter. The only problem, in this case, was, if the capital is under attack then there could be a delay in sending troops to encounter the invaders.
The second point is Security. The endless ocean is spread until the last end of the Earth, from the rear of the capital. But, there is a land in the middle of this vast ocean known as 'Astralaya'. Clever King Ravan never dared to store his deadly weapons cache in the middle of habitat zone; instead, he chose to keep them into a vacant, empty place where no or low population is observed, On the other hand, it should be closer to his capital, his eyesight. That is why, he chose this vacant, far-stretched land and founded his capital near to it.
The third point is the Security of the capital. In those days, this island was known as 'Rourav', which was connected to the mainland via a single, long bridge. The scenario looks like this – the capital is bounded by the ocean in all its three sides, and the fourth side is connected to the mainland via a long bridge. This makes the capital difficult for the invaders to raid a marine assault, or to conduct an air-strike to it. It is impossible for the foot-soldiers to gain access to this land, as under any potential threat, the defending guards were allowed to blow up the bridge. Now do not misjudge me by the statement 'connected to the mainland via a long bridge'! To restrict open access to the capital for all, the land around the bridge was artificially lowered, due to which water from the seas entered into the zone and filled the land partially. Although, the water level is very shallow in this entire region. All these steps were taken as a defensive measurement.
Moreover, there are many more reasons behind this scheme of founding the capital in the last end of World's land mass. So far, all three were chief reasons. He prevented any sort of 'hind-attack' from the rear, with this single decision. On the other hand, he was the brainchild of 'Skynet' program such that no harm comes along from air or sky. He extended his emperor from 'Astralaya' in the South to 'Panini' in the North. He conquered the 'Astik' kingdom too, beyond the extreme cold seas in the North, but he never formed any city center there due to bites of extreme cold. This was the boundary of Rakhshasa King Ravan.
'Arrogance' and limitless 'ego' – these were the main reason they fall. They never cared to notice the progression of the Gandharbas and the humans forming into an advanced species. The Rakhshasas never accounted for the Gandharva's evolution due to their less population as a species. Later, the Gandharbas got rid of their 'low population problem', but it is a long way story after the fall of Rakhshasa dynasty. Humans? They were considered as an ape in the eyes of the Rakhshasas. Neither physically nor mentally they could ever turn into a proper contestant to them. So, the Rakhshasas were literally 'All-in-All' of this Globe.
This is the backdrop before we head for the real story. Now we will enter into the main narration that I am supposed to disclose. But, be remembered, Maharshi Valmiki, this is not a 'just a bedtime tale', it is actually 'the History', the alive one without any specific time and date. You are supposed to narrate this history in the format of literature. Let, the story begun....
