Alec walked out of the bar faster than he's ever walked in his life when he made it back to his car he opened the door quickly got in and slammed it shut covering his mouth. He took a deep breath just sitting there for a moment thinking because he wasn't going to drive but he also didn't want Magnus to walk back this way and see him. He chewed his lip for a moment reaching for his phone only to realize he'd left it back at the bar when he set his stuff down to get comfortable. He groaned laying his head against the the steering wheel willing himself to not go crazy.
Meanwhile back at the bar Magnus just sat there stunned about what just happened but secretly pleased with himself. He hummed taking a sip of his beer looking down at the paper in his hands smirking when he realized Alec had left his number with him. No quicker than that smirk had appeared a frown replaced it when Magnus noticed the cellphone still sitting on the table across from him. He grabbed it slowly and smiled softly noticing the lock screen which was clearly a picture of Max and what must be Alec's mother. They seemed like a happy family Magnus thought as he placed the phone in his pocket getting up to go search for Alec. Magnus walked at a much slower pace than Alec had. Magnus looked around as he walked humming softly. What caught his attention was the fact that Alec was leaning against the hood of his call looking rather concerned and Magnus smirked "oh pretty boy" he pulled the phone from his pocket holding it up "did you forget something?" Alec looked up walking over to Magnus quickly, scowling which causes lines to form on his forehead "don't call me that." Magnus chuckled reaching up to rub the crease on Alec's forehead clicking his tongue "keep scowling like that and you'll get wrinkles Alexander." Alec relaxed for some reason under Magnus gentle touch "can I please have my phone?" Magnus tilted my head pausing before getting a mischievous look in his eyes. "Of course you can on one condition. You tell me why you kissed me and then ran. I mean I am not one to kiss and tell but I normally don't kiss and run." Alec looked around sighing before mumbling softly under his breath. Magnus laughed "Alexander don't make me talk to you like you do your son. Use your big boy voice." Alec groaned softly before grabbing Magnus hand gently "I just..you were a total ass but there was something about you. Something almost magical. I kissed you because I wanted to see if you were what I thought you were but after I did it I realized that I never considered if you were ok with it and I got nervous so I left. It's not everyday I get out Magnus. I don't flirt I don't do what ever this is. It is just all new. You are new." Magnus just stared at Alec and tried to hide his smirk when a blush creeped its way onto Alec's cheeks. Magnus gently passes over the phone before touching Alec's elbow leaning forward to talk into Alec's ear "you think I'm magical?" He smiled before moving away to give Alec his space not wanting to make him uncomfortable. "Look let's get you home safely and on the way we can talk. No flirting. No peering eyes. Just us another drink perhaps and this time no running." Magnus chuckled lightly tilting his head slightly letting Alec think. Alec nodded turning as he pointed "uh if we go this way we could stop by the movies and I can get a ride with my sister." He didn't even wait for Magnus to say yes he simply began walking in that direction hoping Magnus would follow. Magnus watched for a moment before walking beside Alec hands in his pockets. "Alexander would you consider coming to the restaurant one day and working with my staff. I'd pay you of course for your time. Name your price and what you're willing to do ti.." Alec cut Magnus off quickly "yes I will." Magnus glanced at Alec before nodding "it's settled then just contact me with times and price and I'll make the appropriate arrangements." Alec looked everywhere but Magnus as they walked and the silence carried on the entire block it took them to get to the movie theatre and Magnus smirked at a thought that ran through his head. "Well Alexander the evening has been entertaining to say the least." He reaches into his pocket pulling out a business card before grabbing Alec by the shirt front gently quickly pressing a kiss to his cheek slipping the card into Alec's pocket chuckling softly. "Is this the part where I run?" Alec rolled his eyes taking a step back leaning against the wall "goodnight Mr. Bane." Magnus smiled bowing his head slightly turning to go back the way they came. Alec stayed there pressed against the wall waiting on his sister a small smile on his face.
