After yet another strange encounter with Magnus Alec took Max home for the day letting his mother have a break. Max was sleeping with his head rested against Alec's thigh while Alec worked on his laptop. He glanced at the time biting his lip before pulling up a new tab typing in two words Magnus Bane. He let out a breath seeing how many results came up and clicked on the Facebook profile that came up and started to scroll through the photos just glancing at them since most of them are food or store fronts. He was about to stop scrolling when he saw the most recent post and it was a picture his cupcake from the other night. He raised his eye brows clicking on the post to make sure he wasn't just seeing things and he smiled slightly seeing the words kindness comes in the smallest of forms written above the image.

After trying to find out more about what type of person Magnus was Alec eventually gave up and headed to the grocery store with a sleepy Max humming softly as he tried to help Alec push the cart. "Head towards the back darling we need more milk if you want to bake tonight" Alec tried helping Max steer the cart towards the dairy aisle chuckling softly at the mumble his son let out. As Alec grabbed what he needed he let Max look through the yogurts and play by the cart not minding what he did as long as he was careful. "Ok Max we need bread and your grandma wants us to grab more meat for her stew tomorrow" he let Max push the cart while he stopped to grab a bottle of wine he saw on the end cap. As he turned to follow his son he heard a small yelp and saw Max push the cart right into someones back. "Max darling pay attention to where you are going!" He rushed towards him setting the wine in the cart gently moving to apologize to the man but as he did he stopped when he saw Magnus turn around and crouch down to Max's level "hello there.. and what is your name?" Max looked at Alec before mumbling his name back and Magnus smiled softly. It took Alec a second to process that this was the same Magnus from the first two meetings in the store. He was being nice and wasn't in fancy clothes but was wearing tight fitting grey sweats and a red shirt that left little to the imagination. Alec cleared his throat when he realized he was staring "Magnus I am so sorry... again." Magnus stood up shaking his head holding up his hand "no harm no foul he didn't mean to I think he was just trying to get to something and got excited it happens" Alec nodded before making eye contact with Max silently letting him know he needed to apologize. Max gave his dad the classic Lightwood eye roll before looking up at Magnus and in an innocent voice said "I am sorry for running into you but I was trying to finally get my chocolate cake." At that he looked at his dad before moving to go grab what he was originally heading towards while Alec was left there shocked at his sons sass. Magnus laughed shaking his head "he's adorable" he glanced up at Alec holding out a hand "I don't think we have been formally introduced I'm Magnus Bane and you are?" Alec swallowed slightly shaking his hand before murmuring "Alec." Magnus nodded "Well Alec its been a pleasure. I do believe I owe your son a piece of cake so take this" he pulled out his wallet and a pen from his pocket signing something before holding it out to Alec "just come any time and ask for me . I hope to see you around Alec." He smiled before turning and walking away as Alec looked down at the card in his hands eyes going wide upon realizing its a reservation card for the new restaurant that just opened two nights ago. Alec questioned if thats why Magnus seemed to be in a bad mood the past few days. Maybe he was stressed about the opening.
