Dreaming

Magnus and Alec got into a routine at night after getting more comfortable with sharing a room. This routine typically included Alec putting Max to bed before heading towards the master bedroom to either shower or just crawling straight into bed. It honestly depended on how the day went. Magnus was usually already in bed or he would be sitting at his vanity doing his skincare routine. Tonight was no exception to that routine. Alec emerged from the bathroom drying his hair and he looked at Magnus who was in bed looking over their plans for the new restaurant. Alec tossed his towel aside and turned off all the lights with the exception of the two bedside lamps. "Magnus.." Alec murmured as he moved back towards the bed. Magnus simply made a soft noise of acknowledgment continuing to scroll through his work on the iPad and Alec rolled his eyes climbing under the blankets as he took the iPad from Magnus's grip. "Enough for the night. The plans will still be there in the morning. Lay down with me." Alec set the iPad on the side table near him and rolled to grab Magnus's hand kissing the knuckles. Magnus smiled moving to lie down squeezing Alec's hand murmuring "well who could refuse such an offer." Alec chuckled and snuggled close to Manus letting himself drift off to sleep peacefully. While Alec slept Magnus just lied there gently playing with Alec's hair letting the steady sound of Alec breathing calm him. "I wish I knew what you thought of love. You seem so peaceful." Magnus kissed Alec's temple closing his eyes hoping to fall asleep soon.

Alec rolled over yawning and frowned at the cold spot beside him. He looked around briefly for Magnus before getting up and heading to the kitchen where he could hear faint humming. Magnus was cooking while he hummed along to some music and  Alec smiled softly. Alec sat at the counter just watching Magnus. Time around Magnus just seemed nonexistant and before he knew it they were sat on the couch togther  snuggled up just watching tv. Alec smiled rubbing Magnus's hand as he looked over at the pictures on the wall love filling his heart at the sight of their wedding photo. He glanced over at Magnus silently wondering what his life would have been like if it weren't for Magnus. Magnus noticed Alec's staring and smirked cupping Alec's cheek kissing him slowly. Alec relaxed into the kiss putting his hand over Magnus's closing his eyes. Magnus pulled away after a moment to catch his breath his head resting against Alec's. "Come on my love.." he stood holding his hand out leading Alec to their bedroom. He shut the door behind them kissing Alec and walked them towards the bed letting out small laugh when he pushed Alec into it landing on top of him."You never cease to amaze me Alexander." Alec tilted his head back closing his eyes while Magnus kissed his neck. He made a soft pleased noise biting his lip. Magnus smirked kissing Alec's jaw before tilting Alec's head capturing Alec's lips in a bruising kiss and Alec gasped moving to hold Magnus's neck and hip. "Magnus I.." Alec sucks in a breath opening his eyes quickly trying to adjust to the dark room. He is sweaty and he can feel Magnus beside him sound asleep. He runs his hand through his hair letting out another breath trying to calm himself from the dream he just woke up from. He glanced over at Magnus before slipping out of bed quietly and heading to the bathroom. He shut the door gently behind him going over  to the sink and turning on the cold water gently splashing his face. He looked into the mirror his hair a mess from sleep and his skin slightly flushed. He shook his head moving to the shower turning it on and slowly stripping his clothes off before stepping in letting the water hit his back and relax him. Alec used Magnus's favorite shampoo but it was also his favorite although he'd never tell Magnus that because then Magnus would tease him about it. He closed his eyes as he rinsed the soap from his hair. His thoughts kept flashing back to the dream. The wedding photo followed by the feel of Magnus's lips against his neck. He was in his own world, alone with just his thoughts. Eventually he got out and was drying off when he saw Magnus leaning in the doorway his eyes heavy from sleep. "Alexander its 4am what on earth are you doing awake?" Alec shook his head and murmured "just a dream. I'm fine Magnus go back to sleep." Magnus stretched before walking to wrap his arms around Alec hugging him from behind. "Tell me about it Alexander" Alec closed his eyes as Magnus kissed his shoulder. "Magnus lets just go back to bed. Its early we can talk later" he turned heading to put his towel up and get dressed when Magnus grabbed his wrist murmuring "Alec you seem tense and your pulse is racing. Whats wrong?" Alec glanced at Magnus shrugging "I can't seem to shake the dream. It felt so real." Magnus dropped Alec's wrist so he could get dressed and leaned against the doorway "whatever it was Alexander you can tell me." Alec sighed softly shrugging and he wouldn't look at Magnus as he spoke. "We were married. We had wedding photos and everything was just so nice." He cleared his throat "we were watching tv when you kissed me." Magnus raised his eyebrows tilting his head. "That's it? you are all flustered because we were married in a dream and I kissed you? Alexander I kiss you all the.." Alec was blushing slightly and Magnus stopped letting out a soft "oh." Alec shook his head moving towards the bed to lie down but Magnus grabbed him. "Stop. Don't be embarrassed Alexander. I would be lying if I said I never dreamt of us together. Its alright. Relax."  Magnus kisses Alec's hand before moving to kiss his jaw squeezing Alec's hand. Alec tilted his head letting himself melt into Magus's touch. Magnus smiled against Alec's skin murmuring "tell me what you want Alexander." Alec let out a breath lying back on the bed pulling Magnus with him whispering "take it slow please." Magnus smiled kissing Alec slowly tangling his fingers in Alec's hair while Alec gripped Magnus's hips closing his eyes. Alec pulled away tilting his head back needing to catch his breath. Magnus hummed kissing along Alec's jaw before settling on a spot of Alec's neck sucking gently. Alec bites his lip squeezing his eyes shut moving a hand into Magnus's hair trying to keep his cool. Magnus looks up smiling and runs his thumb gently across Alec's jaw murmuring "you tell me what you are ok with Alexander we only go as far as you want." Alec took a deep breath kissing Magnus before murmuring "just this right  now. Real you is so much better than dream you." Magnus laughs kissing Alec back happy to just have this moment with Alec. 

After awhile Alec is just curled up in Magnus's arms eyes closed and gently playing with the hem of Magnus's pants. "Magnus?" Magnus hums kissing Alec's head "hmm?" Alec shifts to look up at Magnus his eyes tired but his features relaxed and happy "thank you." Magnus looks at Alec smiling sleepily "no need to thank me for anything." Alec buries his face and murmurs "I will spend the rest of my life thanking you. You have changed my life in ways I never imagined it could be changed." Magnus smiles leaning his head back closing his eyes "no Alexander that was all you. I was merely lucky enough to be a part of it." Alec could feel himself drifting back to sleep so he tightened the blanket around them and whispers "I love you to the moon and whatever." Magnus laughs shaking his head "I love you too Alexander. To the moon and beyond the stars. Goodnight darling. Sweet dreams." Magnus stays up for only a moment longer before the steady rise and fall of Alec's chest puts him to sleep peacefully.
