Following the dinner we had with the family, Sofia and I were quickly dismissed from the table without even getting to taste the rest of the meal prepared for us and this was no thanks to Kina's excitement to get us upstairs.
She showed us to our individual sleeping chambers which included nicely dressed beds and furnitures such as the wardrobe and desk, the rooms were painted with bright and vibrant colours, it was simple and appealing and saying it was inviting would be a definite understatement but despite that, Sofia and I knew where we wanted to spend the rest of our week long holiday.
And I guess Kina realized it too because next thing I know, we were all making our way down the hallway towards Kina's shared room with her sister.
The first thing I noticed about their bedroom was how spacious it was, the walls were painted with the same vibrant colours as the guest rooms, the only difference were the photos and decorations hung upon them. And somehow looking at them, I could tell which one belonged to Kina and which was Keaka's.
Two large beds occupied half of the room and fortunately for us, Keaka was happy to share her sleeping post with Sofia and Kina with me. She even helped us arrange our luggages and at the same time talk about the upcoming event and other unnecessary things that I really did not care about.
She was a talkative to be honest and I guess that was her way to try and make us feel comfortable and welcome in her home, which was by the way a strategy that was very much working.
"So what are you girls planning to wear to the festival?" Keaka asked.
Sofia shrieked in excitement at her question and did not waste anytime going through her luggage and bringing out every bikini she brought with her. "Thank you for asking that question Keaka because I've been dying to show someone the fabulous outfits I brought on this trip" Taking out the first pair, she turned to us and explained, "This one is what I call The Santa"
I raised a brow. Okay?
"And why...do you call it that?" Keaka asked, her dubious expression mirroring mine.
Sofia smiled and continued, "Well I call it The Santa because of the innocent looking vibes this costume gives off and plus it's white"
Moment of silence.
"Are you serious Sofia?" Kina asked.
"What?" she questioned in wonder, "Aren't you seeing how this bikini pretty much covers up everything?"
Keaka had a nervous smile when she said, "I don't think that really covers up anything Sofia"
Looking at the costume, Keaka was right about it. I don't think that bikini was capable of covering up anything at all.
At her statement, Sofia scoffed in surprise and dropped her bikini on the floor, "Obviously...you are saying that cause you haven't seen La Diabla yet"
Unbelievable.
Then when she brought the so called Diabla out, my eyes widened in shock and so did Kina's, and poor Keaka seemed traumatized by the sight of it. Was that even capable of covering up a whole baby?
Kina who had been busy arranging her own luggage, walked across the room and grabbed the sluttish cloth out of Sofia's hands, "Oh you are so not wearing this...this vile thing"
"Don't call it vile, do you know how much I spent on that? That is called perfect design and it wouldn't hurt to show off its perfection at today's event"
My head was already shaking in disapproval before the words came out, " You are not wearing that Sofia, especially if you are going out with us"
Sofia crossed her arms in surprise, "I can't believe this, I expected you as a designer to notice the good work done on this piece of cloth"
