Saturday had been like I predicted.
It was good and more importantly, interesting. We spent the day walking around the area with no planned location to go to and we mostly had conversations about nothing important, to be honest. He'd comment something funny and I'd struggle not to laugh.
The only bad parts of the day were the moments where he'd come across an acquaintance and we would stop, so he could greet them properly. Since I was never good with strangers, it was a little bit awkward for me and because of that I always came across as rude.
Anyways, Sunday arrived but we weren't able to go on that date as we had planned. Alessio had to go back to work, for an emergency and I had more than enough things to do in preparation for Monday.
"Reggie, are you listening to me? Helloooo, are you living?"
My train of thoughts were interrupted by Sofia's voice, she was standing before me with a hand raised in front of me, she probably waved it to gain my attention.
"Yeah I am"She gave out a sigh as she joined me on Kina's car, we were both in the parking lot, sitting on the boot of the vehicle as we waited for Kina to appear from wherever she was. "Where did you say Kina went to again?"
Looking at the students walking about on campus, I told her "She said something about a class group and stuff"
"Then what are you doing here?"
I turned my gaze, away from the students and to the girl beside me, "It's not obligatory" I said, "Besides you know I don't do well with strangers"
Sofia shook her head in disbelief, "But they are your classmates, you see them every day"
I shrugged, "I still consider them as strangers"
She turned to fully face me this time, with her leg on the boot and the other dangling back and forth. "I don't understand" she began, "how is it that of all the men who showed interest in you, is Alessio you chose?"
A deep furrow appeared on my forehead when I heard the unexpected question. "I did not choose anybody Sofia"
"I'm not blind Reggie, yesterday you spent the day with Alessio...again" she said, "There's obviously something about him that attracts you"
I scoffed in disbelief, "What makes you think I even spent the day with him, I did not tell you girls anything"
Sofia smirked, "Emilio told me he saw you at the Fashion House and when he mentioned Alessio, I just knew it"
My brain was currently looking for the perfect lie to tell Sofia, anything that would divert her from thinking about Alessio and I but then...she was my friend, why would I want to keep this from her?
Thankfully I was saved by Kina appearing before us with a smile, which dropped when she realized where we were sitting down. "You guys, how many times have I told you? My car is not a chair!"
I was the first to get down followed by Sofia who obviously took her time, trying to purposefully put Kina on edge but the girl seemed to be in a good mood today, which I noticed since the first class we had.
"What has you going all smiley smiley today?" Sofia asked.
Kina's grin grew even more at the question. I was starting to feel a little bit uncomfortable at the Chesire smile on her face.
"Happy Kuhio's day!" She finally exclaimed in happiness but Sofia and I still remained totally confused at what was going on here.
"What thy hell is that?"
