The sound of my feet running down the university's hallway echoed around the almost empty building. The heeled boots I wore made it difficult to dodge past the remaining few students around but still, I continued my pace towards the exit.
For a short second, I glanced back to make sure that Kina was still behind me and there she was, rushing with a bit of difficulty trying to catch up to me. Noticing my shortness of breath, I silently cursed Sofia for putting us both in this situation.
Finally I arrived at the exit with Kina immediately beside me, we both tried catching our breath while searching around the environment for any sign of our friend.
"Do you really think she went to confront him without telling us?"
"With Sofia, anything is possible Kina." Was my short reply.
"She can be so impulsive that girl, I swear one of these days she's going to put us in so much trouble"
Stopping my search, I turned to Kina and quickly noticed her disheveled appearance, her clothes were intact but her hair was a whole other story, strands of stray dyed blonde hair came out of the neat bun she once had and heavy sweat covered most of her face.
Kina was definately not a sports person.
I was about to reply when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a small crowd down the parking lot. Seeing the dumbfounded expression on my face, Kina looked in the same direction and gasped. "Don't tell me"
My expression changed into one of sudden irritation when I caught a glance of familiar dark hair. Sofia should have waited for us before going on with her plan. "Kina" I called, "Sofia is definately going to put us in trouble if we don't stop her now"
Rushing down the concrete steps, we headed towards the small crowd gathered around Sofia and Daniel, her ex boyfriend but we rather preferred to call him...
"That's dickhead" Kina stated. "We have to get to them Reggie"
"How?" I questioned, "There's no way we can push through these massive bodies"
And they would surely break me in two if I tried to.
"Who do you think you are?!"
Kina and I both turned to watch the scene when we heard the familiar voice. Sofia was trying with so much difficulty to hit Dickhead in the face but he was just too tall for her; what thy hell was she thinking?
Seeing the smirk on the guy's face, I was slowly starting to think that maybe I shouldn't even try to stop her. I wasn't even worried about her but for the person she was going to confront.
"Now that I think about it, the guy deserves what's coming for him" I voiced out my thoughts.
Kina snapped her worried gaze on me, "Oh you are not saying that right now." she said, "Just a second ago, you were just as determined to stop her"
Looking at the dickhead provoking our friend, I replied, "That was before I actually saw him. Don't you think he deserves what's coming for him, you hate him too Kina"
"I dislike him" she corrected, "Hate is a very strong word. And of course he deserves it but not at her expense"
"The worst thing the vice chancellor can do is reprimand her"
Hearing the crowd snicker, I watched as Sofia kicked Daniel in the shin, he immediately bent down in pain, then using his current position to her advantage, she elbowed him in the face...directly on the nose.
The crowd yelled in excitement at that unexpected move.
Dickhead instantly fell on his knees while clutching his bleeding nose.
"She didn't have to be so violent" I heard Kina say.
