The sun shone brightly as I strolled down the sidewalk, passing by the many strangers who rushed to their respective destinations. The wind blew the trees that lined up the streets, causing my arms to form goosebumps from the slightly cold feeling.
I noticed that the cars were not moving today, they were all stuck in traffic, impatiently waiting for the road to be freed once again. It was Monday, so this was a normal occurence.
As I watched the irritated expressions of the drivers, I felt glad about walking. At the end of today's lectures, Kina had said she had some place else to go, so she couldn't drop me off at the apartment as she was already in a hurry. I think it had something to do with an appointment at a Travel Agency.
The holidays were getting close and so were the CAs, and that meant I had to fully commit my time into revising every course left out, there was absolutely no time for distractions. Even if since that night, several immodest thoughts sorrounding Alessio had been tormenting my mind, I made sure to stay focused through out today.
And I hoped it was going to be like that tomorrow, the day after, the day after the day after and so on.
However, as I neared my apartment complex and spotted the familiar vehicle I hadn't seen for a while, I wondered whether God was seriously taking me as a joke.
For Alessio stood beside the car, with hands tucked in his jeans pockets as he patiently waited for me to approach. He had a smile on his face, something that my face did not return as I struggled not to think about what trespassed between us at Emilio's birthday party.
Noticing my expression, he sighed. "I guess we are back to you frowning each time you see me"
He was at ease, with not a bit of sign showing he felt nervous or uncomfortable after what happened, as if those gleaming eyes that currently stared at me, weren't just a few days ago filled with extreme lust, as if we weren't practically dry humping that night.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
Alessio ran his hand through his hair, he was taking his time to respond and that's when I realized that my question sounded rude. "I'm sorry" I apologized, "I just did not expect you to be here"
He never gave me a call nor a text, so I ended up concluding that maybe we were back to ignoring each other.
"No need to apologize, it's my fault for not informing you ahead of time" he said, "I just thought that Sofia must have told you about my presence already but I guess not"
My brows raised up in confusion. "Sofia?"
He briefly glanced at the teens walking past us before answering, "She asked for you to pick up her brother, and for me to escort you"
I immediately groaned.
With the week approaching, I already had a lot to revise on, especially those damn Economics' topics I seem to always be confused about. "Why can't she do it herself?"
He was about to answer but I quickly cut him off. "Don't tell me" I said, "She's with Emilio right?"
Alessio looked amused as he slowly nodded. Confirming that she was indeed with him. Thinking about it, where else would she be? Since she started dating Emilio, the girl has been like a ninja, popping in and out at anytime.
I wasn't against their relationship or anything, this was actually the first relationship of hers which appeared to be working out, and I was happy that she was happy.
But there was a certain limit to everything, like picking up Diego from training was her job, she couldn't just pass that responsibility to me every fucking time.
