The next day of CA went the same way as the previous one, tense, boring, stressful and filled with students who'd rather be anywhere else than here. It was a day where I would have felt agitated towards the upcoming test but thankfully that did not happen.
I was a little bit nervous of course, but the confidence I immediately felt when the test paper appeared before me, completely overcame the nerves. So as I currently waited in the school's parking lot, a smirk appeared on my lips knowing that I was going to ace that test.
Obviously thanks to Alessio.
"What's making you smile like that?"
Turning my gaze to the driver seat, I noticed Kina staring at me with a look that pretty much said I know what you are thinking about but I'm still gonna ask you.
And despite that, I said. "Nothing"
At my simple response, Kina raised a perfectly shaped brow and narrowed her eyes, clearly showing that she didn't believe me, but her being her, she let it go. "I'll just pretend that I believe you"
Then she asked, "So how was the test?"
"It was great" I answered, "Never really thought there would be a time I would say that"
Kina nodded her head, "I'm glad to hear that" she said, "At least we now know Alessio is our go-to guy in case we ever encounter a problem with a particular course"
I guess so.
An exasperated sigh suddenly escaped from the girl beside me, picking up her phone to look at the time, she stated. "Where is this girl?"
"Her test is ending at 11" I commented, "I'm sure she'll be-"
The loud sound of the car door opening behind caught both of our attentions, abruptly interrupting whatever words I was about to voice out. Turning towards the back seat, we watched as Sofia occupied the empty seats, dragging along with her, the heavy bag currently placed on her laps.
She was breathing heavily as if she had just ran a marathon, with droplets of sweat already forming on her caked up face.
"What took you so long?" Kina asked.
"The test we had apparently involved a lot more equipments than I had predicted" she breathlessly answered.
Kina looked confused with her statement. "What do you mean by equipments? You are doing journalism right?" she questioned, asking the exact same thing lingering on my mind.
"Exactly" she answered.
Then adjusting her sitting position on the seat, she added. "We had a presentation to do today and each group had to bring the listed equipments to do so"
Pointing to the heavy bag sitting on her laps, I asked. "Is that why you have that?"
She nodded in reply.
"Then what took you so long?" Kina asked once again.
Her brows furrowed at the question, narrowing her eyes in irritation, she explained. "Adam is an absolute pendejo"
"Adam? As in your partner?" I questioned.
What did he do this time?
I recalled her complaining about him the day I escorted her to do her interview. She mentioned him being good with cameras but if she found it hard, working with him till this day, then she should report it to her prof.
"Yes that pendejo" she insulted, "After the test, we were supposed to return some of the heavy equipments back to the storage room, each group did so, but do you know what he did?"
