"Hey." I hear Bellamy from behind me. I'm standing in tent, playing with my knife, a habit I have of doing when I'm upset.
"Hey." I reply, not turning to face him and continuing with what I'm doing.
"You okay?" He asks me.
"No." I respond. "He should be dead!" I shout, turning around in a haze of anger. "That's what we agreed and now Clarke is going back on her word? She's supposed to be my best friend." I sigh shaking my head and turning back around sighing.
"Hey..." He practically whispers and I feel his hand gently place on my arm and for some reason it brings some of my anger down, as I shut my eyes taking a breath in. I then slowly turn to face him. If anyone understands my frustration at Murphy it's him. But this isn't just about Murphy.
"It's just...everything is turning into a mess. Now this? The one thing I can actually have some sort of control over, I don't even get to have control over." I admit to him, barely meeting his eyes as I do.
"Right now, unfortunately, we need him. But it doesn't matter what Clarke says. After what he did to Charlotte...if you want to, if you need to, when we don't need him anymore you can do whatever you want." He offers me and I finally meet his eyes, my brows slightly furrowed.
"What about Clarke?"
"Half the guys out there answer to me. I can get it taken care of." He assures me and I just look at him dumbfounded.
"You'd do that?" I almost whisper in surprise. I knew we were almost friends, but him doing something like this for me, knowing what it means, going against our co leader - that means something.
"Of course." He nods.
My lips then part, but no words come out. Instead I'm locked in place stood staring into his dark brown eyes, my breath hitching as my heart begins to pound out my chest, the feeling of his hand on my arm almost intensifying yet his grip as light as before and my eyes can't help but drift to his lips for a split second and then repeat the motion, his eyes mimicking mine and I can't believe it. And as though someone is possessing my body, I begin to lean forwards slightly, and perhaps he's possessed too as he does the same, my eyes growing closed, our lips centimetres apart.
"Hey!" We hear from the tent entrance and immediately we jump apart in an instant, only to see Raven stood there. She definitely saw everything, but knowing Raven, she probably doesn't even care. But that's the least of what I'm thinking. The number one thought is I almost kissed Bellamy. Why on earth would I do that? "Um, Clarkes in the drop ship. Somethings going on." She tells us and Bellamy and I's eye meet for a moment before we both race out my tent and head to the drop ship in a panic, spotting people bleeding outside on the way there.
We walk in and see Clarke on her knees opposite Murphy, her eyes blood stained, as if she'd been crying blood.
"What did he do to you?" Bellamy asks her as I look from the two. Clarke's eyes bleeding, Murphy coughing blood, people outside too.
"Some sort of biological warfare?" I question looking at Clarke and she nods, weakly.
"Is this your revenge? Helping the grounders kill us?" Bellamy paces around the room angrily as Clarke looks at the boy in front of her hopelessly.
"I didn't know about this." Murphy says.
"How did you get away from the grounders?" Clarke asks him.
"I don't know. I woke up and they forgot to lock my cage, so I took off." He replies and I sigh, looking down, knowing what this means.
