I never knew what was home

where was my sanctuary

where was that permanent place

I always thought it resided
Under his sheets
While he held me tight

But quickly I learned
home is a permanent place
Not some in and out of resident
Regardless of the ugly and distraught
It is somewhere
where you are always welcomed

Forcibly pushing
He threw me out
There I went falling
I thought that was home
I thought he was home

But quickly
It took some time
A bit of rhymes
Finally, I found you
Home sweet home

In my room
While laying in my bed
Lighting a candle
And listening to some tunes
Not reminiscing about you anymore
