Introduction to Poetry

Of Fairytales and Whatnots

Never the damsel in distress;
she defeated the dragons,
she climbed down the tower,
she walked on water.

Never the damsel in distress;
she put on her own heels,
she threw away the poisoned apple,
she tamed the beast.

Never the damsel in distress;

Yet—

He showed her the world,
He loved the ugly parts of her,
And he awoken her barren heart with a kiss.

Come quick, love.
I am awake.
