"Can, I want to say something else that's on my mind."

Sanem's plan worked and Can smiled, not that she could see him, "Yeah? What do you want to say?"

"I want you to come over."

"Like right now?"

"Yes. I want to sleep with your arms around me."

Can sighed and leaned his head back on the couch. Of course he wanted that too. But there was the problem of nosy neighbors. "Sanem, I-"

"You asked for honesty." she cut him off.

"Yes I did. And you're sure?"

"Yes."

Can stood up off the couch, "I'll be there soon. I love you."

Sanem closed her eyes, happy with getting her way. "I love you, too."

Sanem waited at her desk and looked out the window for Can's truck to pull up. She looked at her clock and thought enough time had passed but there was still no sign of him. Her phone chimed with a text from Can.

<<Unlock the back door.>>

"What?" she spoke out loud and hurried down stairs.

She flipped on the kitchen light and could see Can on the other side of the back door through the window. He had changed his clothes from the nice black button down shirt he was wearing earlier to more sleep appropriate wear. She turned the deadbolt and opened the door for him, "Can, you could have used the front door. Where did you end up parking?"

"A few blocks over."

"Can, I appreciate what you are doing. But you don't have to go through all this trouble."

"It's no trouble. And it's more exciting this way, right?" He leaned down and kissed her cheek.

Sanem laughed, "I suppose so. But what about tomorrow? Are you just going to sneak out of here really early?"

"Yeah, I'll set my alarm and I'll be out of here before any neighbors wake up to see me leave."

"Does that mean no breakfast?" she pretended to pout.

Can laughed and brought her in for a hug, "I love you so much."

"I love you too."

They pulled apart and Sanem noticed he had his backpack. "What's in the bag?"

"I figured you probably didn't get to eat dinner. And I promised food. So..." he reached into his backpack and pulled out a class container of pasta.

She smiled and took the container from him, "You are the best boyfriend I've ever had."

Sanem walked over to the table and Can grabbed two forks from the kitchen. She pulled two chairs next to each other so they could sit side by side. Can walked over and closed the curtains causing Sanem to laugh.

"What?" Can found himself laughing back.

"It's all so secretive. I like it."

Can kissed the top of her head before he sat down next to her. "I like it too," I'll like it even more when I get to be more open with this relationship, but for now, this is good too.

The two ate together out of the container. Sanem told him about the carnival coming to town and how she would be needing his photography skills for that. Sanem finished chewing a bite of pasta, "You never told me how your job interview went."
