Author's note:
So I'm behind. BUT I have a good excuse, it was my birthday weekend and instead of writing, I have been living it up!!! And by "living it up" I mean having family fun, with not a drop of alcohol, and being in bed by 10pm.... When did I become boring?

For being late, this chapter is another of those ridiculously long ones.
And where is rereader111 at? Girl, you asked awhile back if Can would teach Sanem how to swim... See that gif up there? Hehehe...

MollyHawkins2 asked a good question last chapter, and I thought if she was wondering then other people might be too. This story does take place in Turkey. In my mind they are speaking Turkish, not English. (Man, that sounded so weird as I typed that out.) And although my towns are made up, there is actually a town in Turkey called Fener. And not too far away there is also a town called Silivri... (sound familiar? Silveri anyone?) If you're odd like me, and bother to google map these places, don't pay any attention to where they are on the map. I just used the names.

Along the same lines, Can's house is the same from the show. So just imagine them walking around his house (and swimming in his pool 😉 ).

Also, just a quick shout out to all Canem Gif makers (or should I say Gif 'artists'?because some are just SO aesthetically pleasing.) I've made a few of my own for this story, but mostly download off Pinterest. Thank you all for your time and artistry. I really feel like they add to the imagery of my story and help me put the visions playing out in my head, in your head.

Okay, author's note done. Onto Canem and their new living arrangement!!!

"Are you going to ask another question?"

"No."

"Really?"

"I know that you are safe and that you love me. That's all I need to know."

Sanem wanted to feel relieved by that. But she twisted her hands together as she thought about something that had been bothering her since the other night. Something else she needed to make sure Can understood. "Can, there's something I want to ask you."

Can noticed her hands, so he took hold of them in his own, "You can ask me anything."

Sanem took a deep breath, "I've always been as honest as I could. And I will continue to be as honest as possible. It's about the lies I've already said..."

"What is it?" He could see the concern on her face and it brought back his own worries.

"I'm pretty sure you said this because you were angry... but... you know you're the first, right?"

"Oh God!" He threw his arms around her, "Of course I know. I'm so sorry. I should never have said that."

"I just wanted to make sure."

I made her doubt. My stupid temper put doubts about me in her mind. And now she won't ever be able to forget I said those things. She will always remember how I treated her. This is why she doesn't want to live with me. I lost her trust. "Sanem, I am so sorry. About everything. I'll earn back your trust. I promise."

Sanem pulled back from their embrace to look at him, "You never lost it."

"Then why don't you want to live with me?"

"I wanted to make sure I didn't lose your trust in me. That you are okay with there being a secret between us. Maybe forever."

"I'm okay with that. I am. I'll always hope that something will change and that you will be able to tell me. But all I really want is for me to be by your side. Forever."
