" Allow me to bring you home, my lady," Jackson said, using the same tone he would use in school. I rolled my eyes at him, shaking my head lightly. " What a flirt," I mumbled out and he chuckled deeply. He offered his hand again and I took it. I gasped as he pulled me towards him, wrapping his arms around my waist and lifting me up.

He lifted me over his shoulder, making me gasp again. " Hey! What are you doing?" His response was another chuckled. " Just don't move too much and it will be fine." I was confused and did the opposite of what he asked, hitting his back to try and make him put me down. "Jackson, I swear to god, put me down!" He shook his head and smiled mischievously, my words seemingly amusing him.

With that, he started to run quite rapidly. It was quite dark and he seemed to avoid any place where there could be signs of human life or light. He was running faster than normal human speed, making me a bit scared. But, at the same time, it amazed me to see what capacities he had. Vampires use to amaze me when I was young, but this is beyond what I expected. Some of the facts I learned weren't quite true from what I learned tonight. I looked around and saw the trees, markets, and houses go by in a blur. It didn't take much time before he slowed down, slowly coming to a stop.

He set me down on the asphalt and smiled lightly. " We have arrived at your destination, little miss." I rolled my eyes. "I have a name, you know?" I retorted, making him grin like an idiot. " I know, but it's funnier to find you some nicknames." He said, making him look a bit childish. I gave his shoulder a small slap, making him laugh. " Anyways, goodnight and see you at school." He said, brushing his shoulder off. He hugged me lightly before taking off again, not taking much time to blend into the darkness of the night. I stood there for a few more minutes, still feeling the warmth of his body tingle on my skin.

I snapped out of my trance when the cool air of the night went through my clothes and made me shiver quite a bit. I immediately headed indoors, slipping off my shoes and going to the kitchen for a small snack. With all the events that happened today, I couldn't help but get a bit hungry. I had a glass of water to accompany my muffin.

When I was done, I brushed my teeth and headed to my room to slip on pajamas. I went to bed after playing on my phone for a few minutes and checking on my succulents. I fell asleep, new stress on my conscience. I'm going to have to keep a secret like that from everyone or my life is done for. What have I gotten myself into? I should have listened to Jackson the first time and never should of went in that alleyway.

I woke up the next morning, feeling a bit more tired than usual. I did myself a pleasure to punch the snooze button quite a few times on the annoying buzzing device on the ledge of my bed. I yawned and grunted, stumbling out of bed. I did my usual routine of watering my succulents, memories of last night slowly creeping in my memory.

I felt my palms become sweety just at the thought of it. Will I really be able to keep such a secret from Sherly? I don't have much of a choice though, I either tell her and risk getting us both killed or keep my lips sealed shut and keep us both safe. The expression 'curiosity killed the cat' never felt so true because one thing for sure, Sherly was a really curious person and I don't want her to end up killed.

I shook my head lightly, pulling out my outfit for the day. I realized that the days were getting chillier, so I wore a white long sleeve shirt with light grey skinny jeans and pulled out my black trench coat and orange and white checkered scarf. I slipped on my usual black shoes and took my phone, heading upstairs.

I grabbed a twenty-dollar bill on the counter, assuming it was lunch money. I took my leave, not taking anything to eat for breakfast. I placed my earbuds in my ears, starting my classical playlist and walking towards the school. On my way there, I did a small detour to my favorite cafe.
