(Trigger warning mentions of Suicide, this'll happen throughout a few episodes. They'll be some more in the next one too, so just be warned.)

Y/n pov

You had the horror of having to sleep all weekend but you knew if you wanted to get off the sling, you'd have to do it.

You slept for the weekend and basically only woke up to eat and sleep. Some people call it healing but not you. You called it torture. It was so stupid but it was Monday morning and you had remembered it had been almost four days since Pomfrey said you could take off your sling. You were going to make it be today.

"Madam Pomfrey?" You ask as innocently as you could.

"No. Nope! You are not getting that off today! Listen to me L/n you will have this on for at least one more night if not more."  She states.

"But-!" You try to talk to her but you fail.

"No. You're keeping that on." She told you. You growled about knowing you couldn't win you went to get changed in your robes. You sat at breakfast and saw Peter looking pale but much better than he did before. You smiled weakly across the way, he did too until he saw your arm in it's sling. You gave him a sorry look but he just had what looked like a hot new wash of guilt run through him.

You knew you were going to have to talk to him soon. Speaking of talking to people you'd have to talk to Alli who was sitting on the far end of our breakfast table.

You looked at her and she caught sight of you. She looked away and stabbed her breakfast sausage with anger. You felt guilty for being born.

Later you had Defense Against the Dark Arts it was Monday so now there was no doubt a couple of students who actually did the homework while others waited to hear what Lupin had to say. You knew most people would think Snape was still teaching it, but if Lupin wasn't in the hospital ward and Peter was up and about you knew he'd be teaching.

When you entered the classroom, you saw Lupins tired eyes and how he was looking paler, you knew of course why but you also knew it was best not to say anything. You couldn't imagine how Peter was fairing with all this.

There was a fight that broke out about the homework Snape gave everyone Lupin tried to ask why and if anyone told him about it. You saw the look on his face.

"I'll speak to Professor Snape. Anyone who did it hand it in so I can see exactly what he made you do." Lupin declared about ten students came forward. You included. Yours had a harsh note written to Professor Snape and a kind note written to Professor Lupin, which he'd see as soon as he started reading them later.

The lesson was very enjoyable, it was about Hinkypunks and professor Lupin had one to show us. Odd creatures they were. But you smiled at the lesson soon the bell rang.

"Wait a moment Harry, Y/n." He called. "I'd like a word."

Harry and you turn around and walked back towards the Professor as he covered the Hinkypunks box with a cloth.

"I heard about the match, and your broomstick, is there any chance of fixing it?" He asked the boy.

"No. The tree smashed it to bits." Harry sighed.

"They planted the Whomping Willow the same year I arrived at Hogwarts. People used to play a game, try to get near enough to it to touch the trunk. In the end a boy named Davey Gudgeon nearly lost an eye, and we were forbidden to go near it. No broomstick would have a chance." Lupin said getting off track a smidge.

"Did you hear about the Dementors too?" Harry asks dreading the answer.

"Yes, I did. I don't think any of us have seen Professor Dumbledore so angry. They've been growing restless for some time ... furious at this refusal to let them inside the grounds... I suppose they're the reason you fell?"
