Y/n pov
You practically sprint down the halls up to Dumbledore's office and you see the stairs are already up and you bolt up them. You burst open the doors and standing in the office is your sister accompanied by your father.
"Kathy!" You say in one breath. You run up and hug your sister, you almost tipped her over with the force you came at her. You hold her tight and just keep holding on.
"I missed you so much!" Kathy said holding you close. You winced at the thought of how she must've felt when you were in Azkaban.
You finally parted the hug and looked at your sister with tears in your eyes, heart so heavy yet so full.
"I missed you." You said with tears of joy in your eyes.
"When you were gone, I fought for you to come home, or for me to be there with you. They said no every time." Kathy said as if trying to convince you she was trying to help you, but you didn't need convincing.
"It's okay. I'm out now, I can spend all summer with you again and again for years. Without Azkaban." You smiled.
"I know. I missed you so much Y/n. I was worried I'd never get to see you again." Kathy said with yet another hug.
"We all were concerned worried." Your father said. You looked at him... you had to ask.
"How long did you know?" You said looking up at the man, brother to the dark lord.
"That he was my brother? Years, both put in orphanages at young ages. I found out when the orphanage connected us... I talked a little, we went to the same school, but were in different houses. He kept to himself. I didn't know what he had become until it was too late..." Your dad told you looking down.
"Why didn't you tell me?" You ask more sternly than you meant to.
"It's a lot to know... I mean your uncle is a monster. You didn't need that. So, me working at the ministry I managed to bury the information so it wouldn't get my girls in trouble." Your dad said gesturing to your sister. "I didn't expect what happened last year to happen ever. When we heard what happened to you, we were shocked. Did everything we could to get you out we did." Your father starts to shed a tear for not being able to do more.
"It's okay Dad, I'm here now." You said hugging your father. It wasn't his fault. You know you can't choose your blood. When you let go you turned to your sister.
"You're almost nineteen now." You laughed wiping away a loose tear.
"Yeah, I know. Free to do magic outside of school, fully graduated." She said proudly.
"That's exciting can't wait till I get to seventeen." You jumped.
"Me too, it'll be exciting to see what you pull, we heard you're friends with the main tricksters in this school." Kathy pointed out making you think in two years the twins will be seventeen imagine what'd they pull together. Fool the minister they would. Fred always loved mischief you can't think about what he'd pull in about ten years from now, with George by his side.
"Yeah Fred and George, they're amazing friends, funny but always there for me." You said thinking about their reactions to finding out about Voldemort's and your connection.
"We weren't allowed to buy you anything for the holidays clearly, but if there's anything you need we'd be happy to get it. They're taking off our house arrest." You dad chimed in.
"Perhaps a new broom, long story but I'm sure we'll have time for that later." You lagged rubbing the back of your neck.
"Okay so sis, you have to tell me, any boys?" You blushed thinking of a blonde-haired boy you seemed to help out and think about maybe a bit too much.
