Chapter thirty five - Grim Truths

Y/n pov

You had done most of your exams which seemed to go by fairly okay, you had basically an obstacle course in Defense Against the Dark Arts but it was no problem, you aced it and even accidently used the Patronus charm before changing it to riddikulus, Lupin was more than impressed.

You had nearly finished all exams and Potions was by far your best, you knew because of the small smirk that Snape wore as you completed your potions perfectly, your transfiguration was fairly good you stuttered on one spell from nerves but other than that you were okay, you hated what came last, your divination exam. You walked into the classroom when your name was called and took a seat.

You were asked to gaze into a crystal ball, you stared in not wanting to fail the class but not really seeing anything.

"I don't think I can...." You were about to give up when you saw a shadow, a dog.

"The grim..." You muttered Trelawny looked into your eyes to see if you were joking but you weren't.

"Anything else dearie?" Trelawney asked making you gaze further.

"I- I don't know..." You said staring into the ball. You saw the whomping willow and a rickety looking interior of a shack, you saw Sirius Black and you saw him turn into a dog.

You gasped you knew it, why didn't you do anything?

You continued to gaze an you saw a flash of green light and Sirius Black lying dead in some old shack.

"What is it dear!?" Trelawney pries.

"I... I saw Sirius Black... He was lying dead... dementors caught him." You lied not knowing what to think.

"Very well dear, you have quite the eye, you seemed hard to get to at first but you'd be very good in my class again." Trelawney tells you holding your hand.

"Thank you, Professor." You said. "May I go?" Trelawney nodded and you hurried out you saw the trio and quickly walked over to them.

"What's happening?" you said wanting to get what you saw far out of your head.

"Buckbeak and Fairs are be executed at sunset." Hermione told you.

You stared there at the wall before clutching your fists.

"We're going to visit Hagrid in a little." Harry told you.

"I'll go... I just can't see Faris off without a goodbye..." You told the trio not even imaging what Hagrid's going through.

Later that day when the sun was still up and yet the sky was a flash of violet you Hermione, Harry and Ron walked out for Hagrid's.

"I can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak it's just too horrible." Hermione said as we stepped out of the castle towards Hagrid's hut.

"Just got worse." Ron commented. You look up and see Draco and two of his goons you were so mad at what he did to Hagrid you hadn't cared about you being friends right now.

"Malfoy!" You yelled making him turn to face you.

"Look who's here." Crabbe said, looking you up and down.

"Ah, come to see the show?" You got you your wand and pointed it and Malfoy but he didn't flinch. That's when Hermione rained down.

"You! You foul loathsome evil little cockroach." Hermione put her wand to his throat.

"Hermione no! He's not worth it." Ron said you looked at Draco crying scared and Hermione determined as ever.

"Hermione... please." You said lowering your wand and shaking your head no.
