As soon as Erik walked two steps closer, he stopped, as if in shock that he was so close to Christine. He then let go of her hands and backed away.

"Erik, what's the matter? Are you afraid of me or something?" Christine asked bringing herself closer to him.

"No of course not my Angel, it's just -- there's so much you don't know..." Erik looked away from her and at the ground.

Christine was puzzled. She didn't understand why he was acting like this. He never shied away from her in dreams. Everything went silent and still and all of a sudden, it hit her; all the stories she had heard ever since she first came to the Populaire about an "Opera Ghost", or "The Phantom of the Opera" and how he was so ghastly, wicked, frightening, but most of all, everyone knew he was deformed. And for that they constantly talked down about him and made jokes and insults even though they were all terrified of actually being in the presence of this so called 'ghost.' Christine put everything together and thought: Maybe it's him, Erik, is he the phantom? No one has seen him around here, he wears a mask to hide...something...maybe it's the deformity everyone talks about that he's hiding under the mask...

"Erik, come closer, please. Do not be afraid to stand near me, you are my angel, I l--," Christine stopped. Did I almost say that out loud?

Erik walked close to her once more and stared her straight in the eyes.

"Are you the one they call the Phantom? Are you the Opera Ghost?" Christine asked.

"Yes...I am," Erik said.

"But why do they fear you? I do not understand! You are so kind and you've never hurt anyone," Christine grabbed his hands and wouldn't let go.

"Christine, there's so much you don't know about me," Erik let go of one of Christine's hands and stroked her cheek gently.

"Erik this is why I am so glad I finally am getting to see you, I can learn all about you, and you about me,"

"Mon Ange, I know all there is to know about you. I know it all. You see, ever since we started communicating through our minds, I have had access to all of your thoughts and memories. I know it all. I know all that you have done and I know that not a second goes by that you don't miss your father. Christine, I know you..." Erik stopped stroking her cheek

"Oh my...You do? Well then why couldn't I do that to you?" Christine let go of his hands.

"Because my sweet, you have made it so easy to access everything while I have the ability and skill to keep my mind locked so that you could learn only the things I want you to know," Erik explained.

"Aren't you going to tell me now though?" Christine asked. She wanted answers--no she needed answers.

"Now is not the time. You have done so well today and you need rest, it's time for you to sleep now. Goodnight Angel..." Erik said, almost like he was singing to her.

Christine felt light headed then she felt nothing but a rush of darkness surrounding her.

What...what happened? Christine thought to herself. It was morning now and she had just woken up in her dorm. Was that a just a dream? She felt a rush of sadness; that had to be real it just had to! Christine was tired of just being with him in dreams, she wanted it to be real.

She turned to look at Meg's bed. She's not here? Where is she? Then Christine looked towards the mirror...The red rose! The one I dropped, it's still there! It wasn't just a dream!

Rapidly, she walked to the mirror and picked up the rose. What do I do now? How do I go through? Christine tried walking straight through it, which wasn't a good idea since she hit her head really hard. She also tried to sing to it. Please open! Then, she grabbed the side of it, and tried to slide it open and sure enough....

....it works! Christine closed the door then noticed through the mirror where she was standing she could see her room, as if she was looking through a window or something. Has he been watching me? It didn't matter, she had to go see him now, she would find out the rest later. She ran as fast as she could in her night gown down the hall and came to a halt. She had been rushing and so determined to get through that she hadn't realized until now: I NEVER PUT ON MY NIGHT GOWN LAST NIGHT! Did he change my dress!? Christine felt very disturbed at this point, she walked slower and reached the stairs then finally, the bridge. She seen him from where she was standing, he was sitting down, writing something. "Good morning Erik," Christine announced as she walked across the bridge.
