I press my arms around Annie's small waist. I pull her out. The flesh burns my skin, almost melting. I wince at the pain, but try my hardest not to let go. Steam forms off my skin.

I groan, finally pulling Annie out of the Titan.

Hanji claps, "Good work."

I carry Annie to the ground and set her against a small tree. Levi comes over.

"Must've happened because she hasn't been a Titan in so long." He promotes.

I nod, along with Hanji.

Hanji jots down notes. "Eren, approximately how long did it take for you to wake up from emerging out of your Titan?"

I rub the back of my neck. "Uh~ If I had to guess, hours? But I'm not sure. Our titans are very different."

Hanji jots down notes.

She takes a needle out from her bag and injects the needles into Annie's upper arm. She fills the syringe with blood completely. She then pours the blood sample into a small bottle and plugs in the cork.

"What's that for?" I look at it.

"Wow" Levi crosses his arms. "I'm no scientist but I even know what that's for. It's a blood sample, either to tell whether she is sick, experiencing any trauma, or still have the ability to transform. Even to see the amount of years she has left."

Hanji smiles, "I'm overly surprised of you Levi. That's absolutely correct."

Levi turns away and looks up at the wall. Two Garrison troops stand there watching over us.

I look at Annie. She sleeps peacefully. It's like she never came out of that crystal. Stupid thought.

"Okay. Since all my other plans revolve around Annie being active, and we have no clue when she'll wake up, we'll bring her back." Hanji puts her hands behind Annie on her back. She then puts her other hand on the behinds of Annie's knees. She lifts her up.

With all that equipment she's holding she can't take Annie too. Hanji's strong, she can do it-

"I'll carry her." I put my arms out.

Hanji smiles softly. "Sure. Thanks Eren."

I now am holding Annie. Like a bride? Yeah...

Levi joins us on the elevator and we slowly rise up the wall.

I lay her in the cell bed and take off her boots. I place the back of my hand on her forehead. She isn't warm so she's fine.

I smile softly. "You..." I move the hair out of her sleeping face. "You showed me how to live..."

I tuck her in and leave the cellar.
