Forgive & Don't Forget

I wake up and stretch. It's been a while since I've slept in a bed this nice. Why were they treating me so well?

A knock suddenly comes from outside of my door.

"Leonhardt, opens up." Levi calls.

I put some pants on and leave my tank top on. I open the door so he can see my face.

I don't speak and neither does he.

"Don't think your free to go. Your still a major enemy." He fixes his uniform sleeves. "Your going to be out under supervision of Eren Jäger. Got that?"

I nod.

"Get dressed, new clothes are in the drawer, freshen up too. Meet us in the dining hall in 20." He walks away.

I close the door then lock it. I take a deep breath.

"Generosity."

I strip myself from my clothing and enter the shower. It felt so nice to be clean again. I stay in the shower for 10 minutes. A lot longer than usual, mainly because it's been several months since the last time I've taken one.

I wrap myself in a towel and lay out clothes. Black pants and a mint long sleeve shirt. I slip on shoes and head out the door. I leave my hair down, for the first time.

I enter the dining hall. The main 9 are there.

I take a seat. Breakfast has already been served. We all eat.

"Annie. I hate to put you in the spotlight, being so ya having sympathy for you." Hanji wipes her mouth. "Since tomorrow is the trial, there won't be any testing until after. They don't want us to do anything too risky before the trial so I've decided to postpone the tests. And I'm assuming Levi has told you your news."

I nod.

"Great. So you'll know what to do when we're done." She gets up with Levi and they exit the room. Connie, Jean, and Sasha leave. Floch, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and I are left.

"So, Annie Leonhardt?" Floch looks at me.

I don't know who the guy is, but I've seen him in training before.

"What's your history?" He rests his cheek on his hand.

Eren looks at Floch, Armin and Mikasa look at me.

I bow my head not wanting to answer the question.

"You weren't there." Armin says.

"No shit." Floch snares.

"Hey, watch your mouth-!" Eren glares at Floch, but was soon interrupted my Mikasa.

"Eren, no commotion, not now." She settles him.

I stand up and walk out of the room. I notice at the corner of my eye, Eren is the only one looking at me. He looks at me with those sorrowful, green eyes. They used to sparkle. I don't know what happened when  I was gone, but how I morn for those eyes to shine again.
