Your Welcome, Eren.

Just like that.

"Eren?" Mikasa poked her head in. "Is everything alright? You seemed sort of, tense."

I looked at her and smiled softly. "Don't worry, I'm just... surprised that's all."

She smiled back. Her smile was soft and motherly. "I'm glad, take care."

She closed the door. I sighed and went in front of the cell gate. I look at Annie. She didn't look back.

"Where have you been?" I manage to ask.

She looks at me weak. "Nowhere..."

I raise a brow. "That's impossible. I know you were in that crystal, but mentally where were you?"

She smiled. This smile was pride and disgust.

"I was in a place full of sand. It was always dark. But the sky stayed lit. It was like a rainbow collision of stars. Blue, green, purple..."

I widened my eyes. I knew this place. Paths.

"Why were you there? Did you have any clue?" I question.

"All I know is..." she answered "is that its a place where all titan-shifters go to be patched up. Though it seems royal blood has the pass to be healed. It seems that I was there sitting and waiting. It was like a waiting room, and the next door that opened would bring me back to reality."

These deep words almost pierced through my heart.

"It was like an ongoing dream. Just seeing the stars. It felt nice to just relax. Maybe feel safe for once and know that nothing was going to happen for the rest of eternity." She kept going.

Her face then darkened, "but one night, I had a very menacing and unpleasant dream. It was of screams, blood, lives being lost and cities being crushed. Out of all of the screaming I managed to pick out one. It was Bertholt, being eaten. I couldn't tell by who, but by what? A Titan..." she bowed her head.

"Do you think what you saw was true?" I worried.

She smirked "Why should I care?"

I scratched the back of my head, "because, wasn't he someone close to you?"

Annie nodded "I was never really aware of his presence. But he was a brother when I did notice him. But who cares?"

I managed to spit out the truth and come clean. She's been answering our questions all day, let's give her something back.

"Annie?"

She looked at me.

"What if" I stopped "what if I told you, that Bertholt was dead?"
