Jiyeon kindly offered to show you to your room while Jimin followed his father to his office. Sangmin had said something about a company so you assumed they would be discussing work-related business. This meant that you had to carry both yours and Jimin's suitcases up the stairs, which proved to be just as hard as you expected. Jiyeon climbed the stairs at light speed and was waiting for you at the top of the staircase, eyes widening and a guilty expression showing on her face when she noticed you struggling.
"Oh darling, I'm so sorry. I forgot you'd have to carry these. I should've called for some of the maids to help," she said, rushing to the stairs and taking Jimin's suitcase. "I'll bring his to the room for you."
"It's alright, I don't mind taking on a challenge," you replied with a chuckle.
"Your room is all the way at the end of the hallway, follow me."
As the two of you walked down the carpeted hall, you took note of the many doors on each side of the wall. You had already counted six doors on each side and you weren't even close to your room yet.
"Are there many people staying with you in this house?" you asked.
"Ah, yes, all of our residents have their rooms up here. Each room has enough space for two people," Jiyeon answered, looking over her shoulder and smiling nervously.
You had a feeling the residents she was speaking of were offerers which was why she looked so tense. She didn't seem to want to go into too much detail so you decided you wouldn't press the subject. By the time you reached the end of the hall, you had passed twenty-four rooms and were now staring at two final rooms. They were on opposite walls of the hall with two doors leading into the rooms as opposed to the single-doored rooms you passed by. If you had to guess, one of the doors probably belonged to Jimin's old one and the other to Jiyeon and Sangmin.
"This one is yours and Jimin's." Jiyeon gestured to the room to the left before pointing to the other. "This one is mine and Sangmin's. If there's ever a problem in the middle of the night you won't have to travel far to find us."
Jiyeon opened the doors to your room and you almost let your mouth fall open in shock, taking in the luxurious room. A king size canopy bed was pressed up against the furthest wall, centred. The sheets were an off-white that blended well with the creamy-coloured walls. There were two arched windows on the furthest wall with the bed placed between them, both decorated with sheer, ivory curtains. To the left, there was a walk-in closet with both a full-length mirror on one of the walls and a chaise lounge in the middle of it. To the right, there was a bathroom that you couldn't quite see very well but could only assume it was as extravagant as the rest of this room. And right beside you on the wall adjacent to the door was a fireplace with a loveseat placed in front. Overall, the room was arresting but it was surprising how brightly coloured it was considering the rest of the house was painted in darker tones of grey and purple.
"This was Jimin's room as a child?" you sputtered.
Jiyeon laughed and walked over to the bed, placing Jimin's suitcase on it. "My, he'd have quite the expensive taste, wouldn't he? When he was much younger the room looked very similar to how a child's room should look and gradually it became this as he aged. He hasn't redecorated since he was eighteen which would've been...oh, I don't know how many years but I haven't changed a single thing. Every time he's visited us he hasn't complained about how it looks so I assume it's to his liking."
Truthfully, the bedroom at home was actually larger in size but it didn't look nearly as lavish as this one. What really made this one stick out was the closet--everything else was very similar to your shared room at home. There was also a few more pieces of furniture in the bedroom at home, such as a flatscreen hanging on the wall, a dresser for both you and Jimin, a bookcase, and a mini-fridge that you had insisted on having because both you and Jimin didn't like walking a mile to get some goddamn snacks and drinks for movie night.
