Dinner was surprisingly less tense than you expected. After what happened yesterday, you thought Jimin would've been avoiding social contact with his father at all costs but it seemed they made up sometime today. If Sangmin tried to engage in conversation, Jimin would actually look at him to respond, even putting his fork down so his father had all of his attention. Jiyeon looked ecstatic by this. And you could tell she really was by the big smile stuck on her face and the noise of delight she would make every time she took a bite of her tasteless food.

"What did you do today, my love?" Sangmin asked Jiyeon, staring at her from across the table.

The table from yesterday was undoubtedly trashed after everyone left the room since you were all sitting at a new table today. It was the same shape as the previous one but it was very shiny and it smelt new.

"I went into the garden today with (Y/n)," Jiyeon answered, looking at you with smiling eyes.

"For long? You know how dangerous that is for your health, dear," Sangmin sighed.

"Oh, hush. I was fine. Besides, (Y/n) was there so if anything had happened she could've helped," Jiyeon said, clicking her tongue.

"How did you like it? The garden, I mean," Sangmin asked, turning to you.

"It's amazing. Jiyeon has done a wonderful job with it," you complimented.

"She is quite proud of it. At night it looks even better," Sangmin remarked.

"Sometime during your stay, we should go out together," Jiyeon said excitedly. Her eyes suddenly popped out of her head and she switched her gaze back over to Sangmin, clapping her hands and holding them to her chest. "Oh, Sangmin! You'll never guess what she told me today. She said she thinks she would like to have a child with our Jimin!"

Jimin choked on a piece of food and speedily grabbed his glass of wine, downing it to try and push the food down. Sangmin merely quirked a brow at this, eyeing you skeptically.

"Is that so...," he drawled.

Your face was beginning to heat up at the unwanted attention and you ducked your head in embarrassment. Jiyeon cooed at your reaction, oblivious to the shift in the atmosphere.

"W-We were talking about it and I realized that when I thought about it more deeply, I think it would be nice. To have a family, that is. But it isn't for certain yet," you said in a small, tentative voice.

"I see."

You looked up from under your lashes at your boyfriend to see him staring at his plate, stabbing his fork through his food and moving it around his plate mindlessly. You stuck your foot out under the table to try and find his leg but the moment you touched it he shifted away, causing you to frown in confusion.

"Jimin, honey, isn't that marvellous?" As if she only just realized what he was doing, Jiyeon's cheerful expression vanished and was replaced with a peeved one. "Jimin, don't play with your food. You aren't a baby."

The silver-haired man sighed deeply before pushing his plate forward. "I think I'm done. Will you excuse me?"

Without waiting for permission, Jimin got up from his seat and walked out of the room. You were bewildered by his reaction, unsure of why he was so upset. Was it because he didn't want to have children with you? Was it because he was worried about what could happen to you if you got pregnant? There was only one way to find out.

"I think I'm finished, too. Do you mind if I go up to my room?" you asked.

"Go ahead," Jiyeon nodded.

You stood from your seat and left the room graciously. The moment you stepped into the hall you broke out into a run, racing up the stairs and down the hall to your room. By the time you got to your room, you were out of breath, panting from the physical exertion. Opening the door, you weren't surprised to see Jimin already sitting on the edge of the bed. He probably used his vampiric speed to run here.
