Everything ached. It all felt ten times heavier too. You wanted nothing more than to stay lying on the ground, to fall back asleep until you regain your strength. Wait, where were you laying?

With much reluctance, you opened your eyes, only seeing trees towering above you. You were lying on dirt, surrounded by dead leaves that had fallen from branches. Using both hands, you helped bring yourself up into a sitting position, patting at the back of your head to get rid of the loose dirt. This was certainly not the place you wanted to wake up in.

It was only now that you realized how dark it was. It was impossible to see anything in the forest besides the trees that were close by. The moonlight shone through some of the branches, but it wasn't enough and you couldn't make out anything that was twenty feet away. It was quiet, nothing but the leaves moving with the occasional breeze could be heard.

"Where the fuck am I?" you asked yourself, voice raspy. You raised your hand to rub at your throat--it felt so sore and dry. "I feel like I'm gonna die if I don't find water."

But was there any stream close by? A river? And even if there was, would you find it in time before being killed? Who knew what was in this forest. You never really planned on dying at the hands of a bear but it was starting to look more likely thanks to these circumstances.

"I need to move," you mumbled to yourself.

If you wanted water, sitting here wasn't gonna help. Or would staying put actually be smarter? Maybe it would be easier for someone to find you in this spot. Ah, but only Jimin will be looking for you and he probably has no idea that you're here. The only thing you're sure of is that Jiyeon sent you here and you highly doubt she's dumb enough to drop you off close to her and Sangmin's house. She's clearly trying to get rid of you, not pulling a stupid prank.

You stuffed your hands into your pockets but there was nothing in them, which you were kinda expecting. You still had on the clothes you fell asleep in before getting...knocked out--a simple tee and some sweatpants. Your pockets had been empty before so it was highly unlikely Jiyeon would've slipped something in but you felt like checking wouldn't hurt. Now, how were you gonna figure out which direction leads to the house?

You rolled onto your knees and managed to get to your feet. God, this sucked ass. How long were you even asleep? It was obviously in the middle of the night but was it the next day or had you been passed out for longer? Two days? A week? No, probably not that long but it's still a possibility. How did you get out here anyway? Jiyeon probably didn't take you herself, so who did? For some reason, Eleanor came to mind. Would she really do that though? Was she putting on an act too, just like the woman she works for? You didn't want to think about that, she didn't seem like the type to do that. This was just wishful thinking, trying to convince yourself to see the good in her. No one wanted to be betrayed by a friend, after all.

So what do you do? Where do you go? If you do run into a bear or something else, how do you protect yourself? Yes, that was the big question; how do you stay alive long enough for someone to find you or for you to find them? You don't have anything on you that can be used as a weapon and there's probably nothing in this forest that you can count on. A sharp branch is your best bet but even that won't be able to kill a bear, not without you getting close enough for the animal to bite your head off in the process.

What if you run into someone that isn't looking to help you? An unpleasant shiver ran down your spine at the thought of finding a vampire. The chances of it being pure-blood are slim to none--the only reason for them to be in a forest would be to hunt and why would they need to do that when they've got plenty of offerers at their disposal? A middle-class is also pretty unlikely as they live among people, so no need to hunt. They aren't known for being aggressive so if you were to run into one there's a good chance you'd actually be able to convince them to help you, especially because of their connection with humans. But a dirt-blood, the most likely kind, would be the cause of your death. It wouldn't even give you time to say a word before it would attach itself to your neck, draining you of all your blood. How could you have been so stupid to worry about something like a bear when vampires exist? At least with the animal you might be able to sneak away, but vampires, which have the same mental capacity as a human plus heightened senses, won't give you an escape.
