Scars

A/n: A one-shot about Hiccup's scars. I believe that Hiccup was depressed at one point, but I'll try and not go down that road. If I absolutely have to, I'll write another version. The exact same, with just different meanings. Also, this is kind of like a what if for 'A Grim Retreat' where they go on their vacation.

Age: 17-18 (rtte season 3)

Place: Whatever island they have their vacation on lol

Astrid had taken off her armour, boots and skirt. The twins took off their coats and boots. Fishlegs took off his shirt and boots, same goes for Snotlout.(Lol just realised its in bold. idc.) Now it was Hiccup's turn. He took off his armour, and he looked like nothing more than a stick. Hiccup sighed and took of his boot. When Hiccup normally swims, he takes off his metal leg and his wool sock, but that's when he's alone. Astrid saw Hiccup staring at his leg.

"Watcha thinking, Hiccup?"

"Just... what I should do with this..." He sighed, gesturing to his metal leg. Toothless came over and nudged him. "Fine, Toothless." He chuckled, and he took off his leg, but not the sock underneath it. He hopped once or twice to gain his balance, and he YEETED- sorry, threw the metal object into the forest, and Toothless charged after it. Snotlout's jaw dropped. 

"Since when could you throw that far?"

"Since... I don't know." Hiccup grumbled, him loosing his balance. Astrid got out of the water to help him.

"Here,"

"Thanks, Astrid." He hopped over to the pool, and jumped in, laughing.

"Hiccup, your shirts going to get all wet!" Fishlegs pointed out, pointing to his shirt. Hiccup shrugged before Snotlout shoved him under the waterfall. He laughed, but that was cancelled when Hiccup pulled Snotlout in aswell. He screamed and tried to run away, but he couldn't since Hiccup was holding him down.

Tuffnut saw their wrestling from afar and swam over, jumping on both of them. The three boys started laughing their heads off while they wrestled each other. Astrid just facepalmed.

"Boys," She mumbled, and Fishlegs agreed. They looked over to see Hiccup wrestle both Snotlout and Tuffnut off him at the same time.

"I have to admit, I never saw that one coming." Fishlegs said, pointing to the screaming teenages.

"Me too. Hiccup, your shirt will either get ripped or soaked, take it off!" She called. He yelled back a defiant 'No!' before diving underwater, most likely to sabotage Tuffnut, who was  just standing in the water, picking his teeth. Soon enough, he disappeared under the refreshable water, causing both Fishlegs and Astrid to laugh.

Snotlout was listening to Astrid, and he kind of agreed. Beside, there was nothing under Hiccup's shirt anyway. So, when Hiccup was creeping up on Tuffnut once more, Snotlout was creeping up on Hiccup. Fishlegs notified Astrid, and she bit back a laugh. Ruffnut came over by Astrid and chuckled. 

"My brother is so done for. And Hiccup's about to get sabotaged. Nice,"

But what they didn't expect for Hiccup's sabotage, was for his shirt to be lifted off.  He yelped and ducked underwater before anyone could see his torso.

"Hiccup?" Astrid asked, wondering where her friend got off too. Eventually, his head poked out of the water near a rock, which he latched his surprisingly muscly arms onto. Astrid gasped and blushed, she was not expecting that. Ruffnut saw her friend blush and nudged her, making her blush even more. Fishlegs also noticed, and he noted to tell Hiccup about Astrid's reaction.
