Summary: A What-If for 'Astrid's Team'. Is that what its called? Idk. The one where Astrid's house is hit by Dagur, and maybe a few other important things collapsed...
###
The Dragon Riders had just touched down in Berk.
"Son. I'm glad you're here." Stoick claimed solemnly, walking over to Hiccup. Everyone had a look around at the damage which was spread along the village. You could see villagers carrying logs and panels for their huts.
"Who did this? Dagur?" Hiccup accused, stepping off his dragon.
"Aye. It was a hit n' run attack. Catapults and Volleys of fire arrows mostly. Hit a few buildings in town." Stoick agreed, although his voice took on a darker tone. "Lass, one of those buildings were your parents." He turned to Astrid. She gasped and immediately jumped off her dragon and headed to her hut. The gang followed, worried for their friend and their leader's love. (Of course, neither Hiccup nor Astrid knew that they knew)
When Astrid caught sight of her house she collapsed on her knees. The only thing left of it was wood splinters, scattered everywhere. Not a minute passed before the sorrow and despair hit her like a truck, and she melted into a sobbing mess.

"Hey," Hiccup whispered, placing a hand on her shoulder and sitting next to her. "How ya' doing?" He asked, rubbing small circles on her back when a tear slipped from her eye.
"Are... are my parents still here..?" She asked, sniffling, and Hiccup simply shook his head, resulting in her to break down in tears. She rolled off her knees and onto her butt, and Hiccup wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm so... so sorry," Hiccup whispered into her ear, sobbing himself. Villagers saw the two and immediately recognised that Astrid was just told the news, so they steered around the two broken souls.
Tuffnut suddenly decided to speak up, breaking the silence. They flinched as they heard him.
"Hiccup? It almost looks like you're crying more than Astrid?" He asked, generally confused.
"While I am, uh... was... nowhere near as close to Ingrid and Sven as Astrid was, The helped me when I was younger. They cleaned my wounds when I was hurt, they taught me important life skills when my Dad could not." He mumbled, laying his cheek on top of Astrid's head. Tuffnut nodded, sensing the two needed to be alone.
They sat there for a while, wrapped up in each other's arms, sobbing until there were no more tears left to cry. Even afterwards they sat there til nightfall.
"Hey Ast? You wanna come to my place to sleep tonight?" He whispered to her, and she nodded. He helped her up, and they walked up the hill to the Chief's hut, arms around the other's waist.
As they walked through the front door they saw Stoick stoking the fire.
"Dad," Hiccup greeted, nodding his head.
"Son, Astrid. Try and have a good sleep, will ya? Tomorrow we'll need all the help we can get to repair all the huts. That is, of course, lass - If you're in the state of mind too," Stoick replied, speaking softly about the sensitive topic.
"Chief, don't bother about repairing my hut," Astrid whispered.
"Astrid," Hiccup spoke gently, squeezing her hand and fixing her with a concerned stare, that she broke after a few moments.
"There's no point in repairing it if no-one's gonna be there. It won't be the same anyway," She grumbled, loosening her grip on Hiccup's hand and treading upstairs heavily.
The Haddock's shared a look, each knowing what it means, before Hiccup followed her.
"Astrid?" He called out as he entered his room, and he saw Astrid staring at a painting of Hiccup and both his parents.
"You were so young when you lost your mom... How did you deal with it?" She asked quietly, her voice cracking and tears running down her face.
"Well... I still had my Dad, even if he ignored me for the rest of his life. But, I guess I can't really say the same for you," Hiccup responded, coming up and standing next to her.
"Yeah..." She nodded.
"Just know, Astrid... You'll always have me."
