The next morning I woke up early and Jamal was still sleeping.

I laid there just thinking about how weird it was that I had my boyfriend sleep over.

In a few minutes Jamal woke up as well.

"Good morning baby girl" he said as he pulled me close to him and kissed my neck.

"Mm. You know thats my weak spot" i mumbled.

Jamal kept kissing my neck and slid his hand down my pants.

"How about a little fun before I head home" he whispered in my ear.

I smiled and kissed him while sliding his boxers off.

"Maybe its my turn to return the favor" i said as i went down on him.

"Hoooooly shit" Jamal said while twitching.

It wasn't long before he busted in my mouth.

"You are amazing. Has anyone ever told you that" Jamal said.

"My mama. But that's it. I appreciate it though. You're amazing as well" i replied while cuddling next to him.

"Is it weird that I don't want to leave you?" Jamal askesd.

"Not really. I don't want you to leave. You make me feel safe" I said.

"Well how about we go get ice cream after you have Sunday dinner with your mom? " He asked.

"I would love that." I said as I kissed his cheek.

Jamal showered and headed home before my mom got back from work.

I made her breakfast and coffee and waited for her to come home.

Once she got back, we ate, she showered, took a nap and we made dinner together and sat to eat.

"So baby girl. Hows school? Any new friends?" She asked.

"Yeah actually. I made some really cool friends. And there's this guy... we're kinda dating and I was wondering if he and I can get ice cream after we finish eating" I said.

"A guy? Already? Look at you. Growing up right before my eyes. You know I wanna meet this boy. Right? Ain't no youngin going out with my baby girl for no ice cream until I see this child" mama said.

"Yes mama. I understand" I quietly replied.

"Now tell me something Tasha, you growin up. And I know I'm not around a lot. But promise me something. Promise me you gonna be safe. I don't want no grandbabies or worse, having to take you to a clinic for some nasty ass std." Mama said.

"Yes ma'am I promise" I said.

"Good. So you go get ready for your little boy friend and I'll clean up the kitchen." She said.

"No its fine mama. Just rest. Ill clean. You work too hard." I said as I quickly took our plates and started cleaning.

After the dishes I changed and texted Jamal.

He showed up on time and brought my mom a flower.

"Hello Ms. Ruiz. Im Jamal" Jamal said as he entered the house.

"Call me Betsy or Ms. Thompson. Ruiz is my late husbands last name." My mama said

"My apologies Ms. Thompson. I'm sorry for your loss. It's a pleasure to meet you though. You have a very lovely daughter" Jamal said as he gave her the flower.

"Aw thank you son. That was sweet of you. It's nice to see Tasha hanging around a handsome boy with manners. Would you like something to eat or drink?" My mama said as she went to the kitchen to get a cup of water for the flower Jamal bought.

"No thank you ma'am. I appreciate the offer." Jamal replied politely.

"Alrighty then. You two kids go have fun. I'm beat. I have work all day tomorrow so I'm going to head to bed. Be safe baby girl." Mama said as she kissed my forehead.

"As for you son, you take care of my baby okay? I expect you to have her home at a reasonable time. It was a pleasure meeting you. You are a gentleman. But one thing, you wrap that up before you do anything with my princess. You hear me?" Mama said.

"Yes ma'am you have my word" Jamal replied.

"Good. Now go on, get out. Go have fun" mama said while shooing us out the door.

We started walking and Jamal grabbed my hand.

"Your mom is a sweetheart. But you never told me about your dad. I'm sorry Tasha." Jamal said.

"Im sorry. I just don't like talking about it. A lot has changed and I figured Freeridge would be a fresh start for me. I was tired of everyone feeling sorry for me. At least here, no one knows. They look at me as a regular person." I replied.

"I understand. Just know I'm here whenever you wanna talk" he said while kissing my hand.

"I really appreciate that babe. Thank you." I replied.
