Later during the evening, we found a church for him to sleep. The church had also included a work/study program and counseling for those who need it. 

The only issue was that it was in Long Beach, my old neighborhood. 

I made a reservation for Latrelle and we had gotten him a one way bus ticket. 

"I wouldn't have been able to do this without you Tasha. You just made my life that much easier." Latrelle replied.

"Im glad. Now let’s eat and watch a movie. We gotta make the best of the time you have here" i said.

"As long as I'm with you, I'm happy" he replied.

I served him dinner and we decided to watch Coming to America.

Everything was perfect. The only issue was the fact that I had missed Jamal. 

That’s when it really hit me. I cheated on my boyfriend. 

I felt a knot in my stomach as I thought about what I had just done.

I really let another guy hit it. I really cheated on my boyfriend. He was the only person who was there for me and cared for me and my safety outside of my mom & I cheated on him

"Whats good Tasha. You look mad" latrelle said.

I looked at him and faked a smile.

"No I'm good. You ready for tomorrow" I asked.

"As ready as I can be. But let's not talk bout that. I'll be out in a few hours. Lets just kick it" he said with a smile.

The rest of the night we watched movies and just relaxed until we fell asleep on the couch. 

When I woke up Latrelle was gone. 

I went to my bedroom and there was a note on my bed. 

It said: 

"Ma, thank you for everything. I wish I could have kissed you goodbye but I didn't wanna wake you up. And ya mans was blowing up your phone… Anyway I appreciate you Tasha. You the first shorty to care bout me. I'll never forget you.

I read the letter about 10 times before falling back asleep. 

He was right, Jamal cared a lot about me and I knew I had to tell him the truth about what happened with Latrelle.
