6PM came around sooner than both Klaus and Anna had hoped it would.

Anna had gone home after their discussion to get ready for the day while Klaus stayed at home trying to mentally prepare himself for seeing his brother for the first time in over a year.

After everything went down between them, they lost touch. Maybe it was for the best.

Klaus was currently sitting on the couch in silence when he heard a knock on the door. His stomach dropped, afraid that it might be the devil himself.

"Can you get that?" His mom called from the kitchen. She had been in there for a while now preparing dinner.

Klaus sighed and got up from the couch, hesitating to open the door. What would he say to him? Hey douche bag, you ready to get your face beat? Or maybe, hey brother it's been a while, would be more suitable.

Klaus tried to control his breathing before he opened the door. He sighed in relief when he realized that it was only Anna. He pulled her into his arms and buried his face into her shoulder.

"Is he here yet?" She whispered, afraid that if he was, he would hear her.

"No."

"Okay, that's good." Anna sighed in relief. They both had been doing a lot of sighing lately.

"I'm so glad you're here." Klaus told her, walking hand in hand to the kitchen.

"Me too."

Not long later, another round of knocking echoed through the house. They all stood in silence for a moment, coming to terms with the fact that one of the people who hurt Klaus the most and made him the way he was today was coming into their lives again.

"I'll get it." Anna offered, but Klaus stopped her.

He forced a smile on his face, "No, I'll get it."

Both Anna and Klaus's mom watched him walk out of the kitchen. Anna hoped that everything went well tonight.

Moments later, Klaus walked back into the kitchen with his brother following behind him. Before Anna could get a good look at him, their mom rushed over to him, throwing her arms around him.

"Oh how I've missed you!" She cried.

"I've missed you too mom." He patted her on the back. All Anna could see was his curly hair and that he was just as tall, if not taller, than Klaus was.

When they finally pulled away, Anna almost gasped out loud at how good of genes that the Fischer family seemed to have. He was a looker. Klaus was too, but boy did this guy make her insides turn to jelly just by looking at him. But she didn't let his good looks get in the way of how disgusting of a person that he was for sleeping with his own brother's girlfriend.

Anna could feel the tension between the two brothers the entire dinner. Klaus kept playing with his food like he did when Anna first met him and it worried her.

"So, you must be Klaus's new girlfriend." Klaus's brother, Micah, said to Anna.

She looked away from Klaus and towards Micah who had a kind smile on his face.

"You could say that." She responded.

"It's lovely to meet you."

"Likewise." Anna returned his smile.

"How long have you two been dating?" Micah asked, causing Klaus to get up from his chair in anger.

"Why is it any of your business?" Klaus asked. "Don't act as if what you did a year ago never happened."

"Klaus-" their mom tried to stop what they all saw coming from a mile away from happening, but Micah didn't let that happen.

"No mom, let him finish."
